Իսրայելական NSO լրտեսող ծրագրեր արտադրող ընկերության գործադիր տնօրենը հրաժարական է տվել, հաղորդում է AP լրատվական գործակալությունը՝ հղում տալով ընկերության տարածած հայտարարությունը:

NSO-ի անունը շրջանառվում է մի շարք սկանդալների ծրջանակներում, որոնք կապված են իր առաջատար Pegasus հեռախոսների հետախուզման ծրագրաշարի հաճախորդների կողմից իրականացված ենթադրյալ չարաշահումների հետ: Անցյալ տարի ԱՄՆ-ն ընկերությանը ներառել է սեւ ցուցակում՝ ասելով, որ դրա գործիքներն օգտագործվում են անդրազգային ռեպրեսիաներ իրականացնելու համար:
