COVID-19 կորոնավիրուսով վարակման գրանցված դեպքերի թիվն աշխարհում օգոստոսի 23-ի առավոտվա դրությամբ կազմել է 596 միլիոն 751 հազար 677: Այդ մասին վկայում են Worldometer պորտալի վերջին տվյալները: Վիրուսի տարածման սկզբից ի վեր COVID-19-ի հետ կապված հիվանդություններից մահացածների թիվը հասել է 6 միլիոն 455 հազար 111 մարդու: COVID-19-ով վարակման ավելի քան 20 միլիոն դեպք գրանցած երկրների թվի մեջ մտնում են ԱՄՆ-ը, Հնդկաստան, Բրազիլիան, Ֆրանսիան, Գերմանիան, Մեծ Բրիտանիան, Իտալիան եւ Հարավային Կորեան:
