Բելառուսի նախագահ Ալեքսանդր Լուկաշենկոն ասել է, որ ինքը Ալիևին առաջարկել է հակամարտության կարգավորման դեպքում մտածել Հայաստանում ներդրումներ կատարելու մասին, որպեսզի «վերջնականապես հաշտվեն, և դա ցույց տան երկու երկրների ժողովուրդներին»։ «Եվ ես հետո Իլհամին հարց տվեցի. «Լսիր, լավ, համաձայնիր, դու պետք է ինչ-որ կերպ օգնես Հայաստանին, որպեսզի ժողովուրդը տեսնի, որ դու հաշտվել ես։ Լավ, ինչքա՞ն կարող ես ներդնել Հայաստանում»։ Ասում է՝ առնվազն հինգ միլիարդ։ Բայց գլխավորը՝ նրանք խողովակաշարեր էին կառուցելու։ Եվ Իլհամն առաջարկել է այս գազատարներն ու նավթամուղերը Հայաստանով անցկացնել։ Նա ասում էր. «Ինչո՞ւ պետք է շրջեմ Վրաստանով: Ես  Հայաստանով եմ ուզում կառուցել։ Դա մեզ համար էլ է լավ»: Դա եկամտաբեր էր»,- ասել է Բելառուսի նախագահը։

Միաժամանակ, նա նշեց, որ իր տասը տարվա առաջարկները չեն իրականացվել։ «Ոչ։ Եվ ի՞նչ։ Ադրբեջանի նախագահին ոչինչ չէր մնում, քան ուժ կիրառել։ Անհնար էր առաջ գնալ։ Ավելի քան մեկ միլիոն փախստականներ լարվածություն էին ստեղծել։ Սա էր խնդիրը»,- հայտարարել է Լուկաշենկոն։

Նա կոչ է արել Հայաստանին և Ադրբեջանին վերջապես գալ խնդրի խաղաղ լուծմանը։ «Դե ինչ։ Հիմա վերջապես եթե համաձայնել ենք համակերպվել, պետք է հաշտություն կնքենք։ Ինչպես ինձ ասացին, այս սահմանն արդեն բաժանված է։ Սարեր կան։ Դե համաձայնեք! Այդ գործընթացն այնտեղ ապահովում է Ռուսաստանը։ Ինչո՞ւ եք հիմա իրար սպանում։ Գրեթե 300 մարդ է զոհվել, իսկ նրանք այլ բանի մասին են խոսում։ Պետք է հանգստանալ և համաձայնության գալ»,- ասել է Լուկաշենկոն։
