Թագուհի Թովմասյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.

35 տարի է անցել Սումգայիթում ադրբեջանական իշխանությունների կողմից հայերի զանգվածային ջարդից, անպատժելիությունը ավելի անսանձ է դարձրել թշնամուն:
1988թ. փետրվարի 27-29-ին, Սումգայիթում հարյուրավոր հայեր, այդ թվում՝ երեխաներ, կանայք և ծերեր, սպանվեցին, իսկ հազարավորները՝ բռնի տեղահանվեցին: Ադրբեջանը դրանով նպատակ ուներ Արցախի ժողովրդի՝ իր պատմական հայրենիքում արժանապատվորեն և խաղաղ ապրելու քաղաքակիրթ պայքարը բիրտ ուժով ճնշել:
Այսօր էլ, չնայած Հաագայի միջազգային դատարանի արդար պահանջին՝ Ադրբեջանն արդեն 80-րդ օրն է, ինչ 120 000 հայ բնակչության փաստացի պահում է պատանդի կարգավիճակում՝ շարունակելով արցախահայությանն էթնիկ զտումների ենթարկելու միջոցով Արցախը հայաթափելու իր՝ պետականորեն ծրագրված քաղաքականությունը:
Չհաջողվեց այն ժամանակ, չի հաջողվի և հիմա…
 
Միջազգային հանրության կողմից Ադրբեջանի հայատյաց քաղաքականությունը կանխելուն միտված միջազգային մեխանիզմների կիրառումն օրվա հրամայականն է:
