Ինչպես պարզվեց, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին Հայաստանից ու Արցախից բացի դուր չեն գալիս նաև ՀՀ զինանշանը և օրհներգը: Դրոշի մասին դեռ բան չի ասել: Նրան հատկապես դուր չեն գալիս Նոյի տապանը՝ Արարատի գագաթին, զինանշանի առյուծը, Հայոց արքայատոհմերի զինանշանները: Դե, զինանշանի առյուծը, կարծում ենք, մի կերպ կդիմանա Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին դուր չգալուն, չնայած, վերջինիս խորհուրդ չէինք տա մոտիկից դա ստուգել: Բայց, այ, որ նրան դուր չի գալիս Հայոց պատմությունն ընդհանրապես... կարծես օրինաչափություն է դառնում: Մի խոսքով, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը չթաքցրեց, որ ցանկանում է վերացնել ՀՀ գործող զինանշանը, առնվազն այնտեղից հեռացնել առյուծին, ջնջել Արարատը, արքայատոհմերի զինանշանները: Երևի նրա համար հաճելի կլիներ, եթե զինանշանին առյուծի փոխարեն պատկերված լիներ անտեր ու թափառական Չալոն, իսկ Արարատի փոխարեն էլ՝ Հանրային ռադիոյի ջարդված դռան պատկերը: Հնարավոր է:

Դա իր աշխարհընկալման, «երկրի թարս կողմից» լինելու խնդիրն է: Առհասարակ, պարտադիր չէ, որ ցանկացած պետության զինանշանը, օրհներգը (հիմնը), տո՝ անգամ դրոշը դուր գան այդ երկրի անխտիր բոլոր քաղաքացիներին: Իհարկե, տարբեր քաղաքացիներ կարող են մտածել և նույնիսկ առաջարկություններ անել նույն այդ զինանշանը, դրոշը, օրհներգը փոխելու կամ ինչ-ինչ փոփոխություններ անելու վերաբերյալ: Սակայն ցանկացած պետության յուրաքանչյուր քաղաքացի պարտավոր է պատշաճ հարգանքով արտահայտվել ու վերաբերվել իր երկրի պետական խորհրդանիշներին: Իսկ ժամանակին ոչ հարմար դիրքով գտնվող դրոշի համար մեծ շոուով մաքսային աշխատակցին աշխատանքից ազատած Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը, այն էլ՝ ԱԺ ամբիոնից, բացահայտ, անգամ ցուցադրական անհարգալից վերաբերմունք դրսևորեց Հայաստանի զինանշանի նկատմամբ:

Նրա արտահայտությունները ծաղրական էին, սարկաստիկ և նպատակ էին հետապնդում վիրավորել հայ մարդկանց ազգային արժանապատվությունը, ինչպես նաև անարգել ՀՀ զինանշանը: Գրեթե բոլոր պետությունները նման դեպքերի համար սահմանում են որոշակի պատասխանատվություն: Բացառություն չէ նաև Հայաստանը: Երկրի պետական խորհրդանիշները ծաղրի ու սարկազմի առարկա չեն, ով ուզում ես՝ եղիր: Չնայած, այսքանը մարսելուց հետո պետական խորհրդանշանները ծաղրելն ինչ է, որ իր (իրենց) համար...
