«Հայաքվե» նախաձեռնությունը Ազգային ժողով է մուտքագրել օրինագիծ, որով առաջարկում է լրացումներ կատարել ՀՀ քրեական օրենսգրքում՝  Հայաստանի անունից Արցախն Ադրբեջանի մաս ճանաչող, ինչպես նաև Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ժխտող պաշտոնատար անձանց համար պատիժ սահմանել 10-15 տարվա ազատազրկում։

Լրագրողների հետ զրույցում «Հայաքվե» նախաձեռնության համակարգող  Ավետիք Չալաբյանն ասաց, որ, բնականաբար, շատերի մոտ հարց է առաջանում,  թե Ադրբեջանի կողմից Արցախի օկուպացիայից, այնտեղ իրականացված  էթնիկ զտումներից հետո որքանով է  արդիական մնում այս  օրենքի նախագիծը։

«Մենք ասում ենք, որ ավելի քան արդիական է ու ունի հետևյալ բացատրությունը. այն, ինչ տեղի է ունեցել Արցախում, միջազգային  իրավունքի կոպտագույն խախտում է։ Արցախն իրականում հանդիսացել է միջազգային իրավունքի սուբյեկտ, երկար տարիներ, տասնամյակներ եղել է  բանակցային կողմ, եղել են Մադրիդյան սկզբունքներ, ուստի Արցախը որպես  միջազգային իրավունքի սուբյեկտ, չի կարող  պարզապես վերանալ էթնիկ զտման արդյունքում»,- ասաց Չալաբյանը։

Նա ընդգծեց, որ Հայաստանի որևէ իշխանավոր  իրականում իրավունք չունի իր որևէ գործողությամբ  ամրագրել Արցախում տեղի ունեցած ցեղասպան  գործողությունները. «Արցախում ցեղասպանություն է  տեղի ունեցել։ Այն, ինչ անում է այսօր Փաշինյանը, դա ցեղասպանությանը հանցակցություն և մաքրագործություն է։ Հայ ազգի այն ներկայացուցիչները, որոնք դեմ են դրան, պետք է շարունակեն պայքարը, որպեսզի թույլ չտան Փաշինյանին Ադրբեջանի  ցեղասպանության արդյունքում ստեղծված իրավիճակը ամրագրել միջազգային պայմանագրերով։ Այն, ինչ արել է Փաշինյանը, ընդամենը հայտարարություններ են, միջազգային որևէ պայմանագիր  գոյություն չունի,  և մենք պայքարելու ենք նրա համար, որպեսզի այդպիսի միջազգային պայմանագիր գոյություն չունենա։  Եթե գոյություն ունենա նման միազգային պայմանագիր, առաջինը կվերացնի Արցախը որպես հայկական պետություն, միջազգային իրավունքի սուբյեկտ, երկրորդ՝  ճանապարհ կբացի ՀՀ նկատմամբ ագրեսիայի համար։ Եթե մենք ուզում ենք  կանխել հայ ժողովրդի  մասսայական ցեղասպանությանը և Հայաստանի  ինքնիշխանության կորուստը, այսօր մենք պետք է շարունակենք մեր պայքարը»։
