«Financial Times»-ը անդրադարձել է Հայաստանում և Վրաստանում արտարժույթի տատանումներին և դրա հիմնական պատճառներին:
Պարբերականը մասնավորապես նշում է, որ «Ռուսաստանի հարևաններն առևտրային կապերի և դրամականփոխանցումների միջոցով սերտորեն կապված են իրենց նախկին «տիրոջ» տնտեսության հետ: Ռուբլու անկումն ազդում է նրանց արժույթների վրա: Ղազախստանը տարեսկզբին ստիպված եղավ դիմել տենգեիարժեզրկմանը, երբ ռուբլին առաջին անգամ սկսեց անկում ապրել, իսկ հիմա այն հասավ նաև Հայաստանին ևհատկապես Վրաստանին:
Վրացական լարին դոլարի հանդեպ ընկել է 4.4 տոկոսով, իսկ հայկական դրամը՝ 1.4 տոկոսով:

Երկու երկրներն էլ հույս ունեն օգուտ քաղել Արևմուտքի դեմ կիրառվող ռուսական պատժամիջոցներից,սակայն Ռուսաստանում ահռելի արժեզրկումն ակնհայտորեն սպառնում է առևտրին: Այնպես որ, հաջողված արժութային թուլացումից միայն կարելի է ակնկալել միանիշ ցածր գնաճ, և այսպիսով գնաճի անցումը կլինիհամեմատաբար սահմանափակ»:
