Заявление бывшего министра обороны Республики Армения Аршака Карапетяна:

«День России — государственный праздник россиян, которые гордятся своей страной, верят в нее с чувством ответственности за настоящее и будущее. Он символизирует единство, сплоченность и гармонию многонациональной державы с богатыми культурными и историческими традициями, которая объединила разные народы, языки, религии и традиции.

Народы России и Армении уже более двухсот лет связывают теплые дружеские отношения, общая история и христианская вера. Старейшая и крупнейшая армянская диаспора в России образовалась в 16 веке и насчитывает более полутора миллионов человек. Россию тепло приветствуют в Армении за братскую помощь, ответственность, гостеприимство и поддержку в трудные моменты.

Сегодня благодаря усилиям некомпетентной власти, предавшей интересы армянского народа и вставшей на путь дружбы с Россией, отношения между двумя странами переживают сложный период. Армяне живут надеждой на возвращение эффективного, содержательного и доверительного диалога между Арменией и Россией, которая укоренена на чувстве полного взаимопонимания.

Выражаю уверенность, что исторические дружественные отношения между нашими странами и народами являются надежной основой для построения долгосрочного двустороннего политического, экономического, военного и военно-технического сотрудничества, основанного на принципах союзничества и стратегического партнерства, и в пользу Армении и России, во имя обеспечения стабильности и безопасности в Закавказье.

Пользуясь случаем, желаю братскому народу России и Президенту Российской Федерации Владимиру Владимировичу Путину крепкого здоровья и новых успехов в противостоянии геополитическим угрозам, мира и дальнейшего процветания.

Я уверен, что, несмотря на все усилия врагов, дружба между нашими странами будет только крепнуть и процветать. Сердечно поздравляю жителей России с государственным праздником».
