ԱՄՆ նախկին նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը չի բացառում, որ նախագահական ընտրություններում հաղթելու դեպքում կկարողանա կարգավորել հարաբերություններն Իրանի հետ։  Ինչպես գրում է ՏԱՍՍ գործակալությունը, այս մասին նա հայտնել է Նյու Ջերսիում կայացած մամուլի ասուլիսում:

«Ես չեմ ցանկանում վատ վարվել Իրանի հետ։ Հուսով եմ, որ մենք կունենանք բարեկամական հարաբերություններ: Գուցե մեզ հաջողվի դրան հասնել, գուցե՝ ոչ», - ասել է Թրամփը։

Միևնույն ժամանակ Հանրապետական կուսակցության նախագահի թեկնածուն վստահեցրել է, որ թույլ չի տա Իրանում միջուկային զենք ստեղծել։ 

«Նրանք չեն կարող միջուկային զենք ունենալ։ Եվ մենք բոլորս վճռական էինք այնպես անելու, որ նրանք միջուկային զենք չունենան, որովհետև հենց ունենան, կլինի բոլորովին այլ աշխարհ, բոլորովին այլ բանակցություններ», - ասել է նա:

Սպիտակ տան նախկին ղեկավարը նաև նշել է, որ ակնկալում է բարելավել հարաբերությունները Չինաստանի հետ:

«Կարծում եմ, որ մենք հիանալի հարաբերություններ կունենանք Չինաստանի հետ: Բայց նրանք ևս պետք է անկեղծ լինեն: Չինաստանը տարիներ շարունակ շահագործել է մեր երկիրը, ինչպես ցանկացած այլ երկիր», - հայտարարել է Թրամփը։

Նա նաև հավելել է, որ ԱՄՆ-Չինաստան հարաբերությունների կարգավորման համար Վաշինգտոնը պետք է ունենա Պեկինի հարգանքը:

«Բայց նրանք չեն հարգում ո՛չ Հարիսին (ԱՄՆ փոխնախագահ Քամալա Հարիսը - խմբ.), ո՛չ էլ Բայդենին (ԱՄՆ գործող ախագահ Ջո Բայդենին - խմբ.)», - հավելել է ԱՄՆ նախկին նախագահը։

ԱՄՆ-ում նախագահական ընտրությունները կկայանան նոյեմբերի 5-ին։ Ընտրություններում Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության թեկնածուն ԱՄՆ փոխնախագահ Քամալա Հարիսն է։
