Ադրբեջանի դեմ 1994 թվականի հաղթանակից ի վեր Լենռային Ղարաբաղի կառավարությունը մտադրվել է օրինակելի երկիր դառնալ, սակայն այս երկրի քրիստոնյա բնակչությունը 20 տարի շարունակ տառապում է դիվանագիտական մեկուսացման պատճառով: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդամամբ' Լյուքսեմբուրգում լույս է տեսել Լորենս դը Հոնդթի հոդվածը' նվիրված Լեռնային Ղարաբաղին:
Հոդվածում հեղինակը պատմում է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղ կատարած իր ճանապարհորդության և տպավորությունների մասին: «Բոլոր լեռների նման անկախ և հպարտ Ղարաբաղն ունի 150 հազար բնակիչ:
Խորհրդային Միության փլուզման ժամանակաշրջանը նոսր բնակչությամբ Ղարաբաղի բնակիչներին չխանգարեց հայտարարել Հայաստանին միանալու կամքը. երկիր, որին կապված էին իրենց մշակույթով, լեզվով և կրոնով»,- գրում է Հոնդթը' հավելելով, որ 1994 թվականին Ադրբեջանի դեմ տարած հաղթանակից 20 տարի անց Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը դեռ չի ճանաչվել միջազգային և անգամ Հայաստանի Հանրապետութ յան կողմից, քանի որ այս ճանաչումը անմիջապես պատերազմ կհրահրի հարևան Ադրբեջանի հետ:
«Մենք ամեն օր տառապում ենք մեր երկրի չճանաչվածությունից: Մի ողջ սերունդ է մեծացել չճանաչված պետությունում»,- ասել է ԼՂՀ Մշակույթի նախարարը:
Նշվում է, որ ամեն տարի համահայկական հեռուստամարաթոն է կազմակերպվում, որից ստացված հասույթը հատկացվում է ճանապարհների, վարչական կառույցների, մայրաքաղաքի փողոցների վերակառուցմանը, ինչպես նաև ծննդյան նպաստների տրամադրմանը' մուսուլմանական երկրներով շրջապատված այս լեռնաշխարհում հայ քրիստոնյաների ժողովրդագրական աճը խթանելու համար:
Շնորհիվ իր լեգենդար հյուրըկալության' Ղարաբաղը գրավում է այնպիսի աշխարհահռչակ արվեստագետների, ինչպես իսպանացի հանրահայտ սոպրանո Մոնսերատ Կաբալյեն, ով, հուզված այս հայ ժողովրդին բաժին հասած ճակատագրից, այցելել և ելույթ է ունեցել մայրաքաղաք Ստեպանակետի փողոցներում:
