Մարդիկ հաճախ չեն գիտակցում, թե ինչպես է իրենց մոտ կախվածություն ձևավորվում առաջին հայացքից անմեղ թվացող բաներից։ Սկզբում նրանք կարծում են, որ իրենք ավելի ուժեղ են և սրտի ուզած պահին կարող են վերջ տալ այս կամ այն վնասակար սովորությանը, որը, վերածվելով մոլուցքի, սկսում է որդի պես կրծել նրանց։ Միշտ չէ, որ մարդիկ իրենց մեջ ուժ են գտնում խոստովանելու, որ իրենք կախվածություն ունեն այս կամ այն բանից։ Նույնիսկ այն դեպքերում, երբ մենք գիտակցում ենք մեր կախվածությունը, մենք չենք ցանկանում ընդունել, որ այս կամ այն բանը մոլուցքի է վերածվել մեզ համար։ Մենք փրկություն ենք փնտրում ինքնախաբեության ու քաղցր պատրանքների մեջ, սակայն դրանց միայն արտաքին շերտն է քաղցր, իսկ տակառի տակ լեղի է նստած, որը ոչ մի կերպ կուլ չի գնում, այլ կանգնում է բկիդ։ Այդժամ սկսում ես քայլեր ձեռնարկել մոլուցքից ազատվելու համար, սակայն միայն բավարար կամքի ուժ դրսևորելու դեպքում կարող ես հասնել ցանկալի արդյունքին։ Մոլուցքների պատճառով կյանքը վերածվում է անհեթեթությունների շղթայի։ Դրանք քայքայում են ոչ միայն մեր, այլև մեր շրջապատի մարդկանց կյանքը։ Ջոն Հոլքրոֆթի այս պատկերազարդումներում կարելի է տեսնել հումոր, հեգնանք, մարդկային ստրկություն, կամազրկություն։ Նկարիչը ցանկացել է այս պատկերազարդումների միջոցով վեր հանել ողջ ճշմարտությունը մոլուցքներից կուրացած ու նրանց ձեռքը կրակն ընկած մարդկանց մասին, ցույց տալ հիվանդագին իշխանատենչության, փողամոլության, ֆեյսբուքամոլության, որկրամոլության եղկելիությունը։ Շարունակությունը՝ այստեղ:
