Վրաստանը պատրաստ է միջնորդի դեր խաղալ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև բանակցություններում, եթե նրանք դա ցանկանան։ Այդ մասին, ՏԱՍՍ-ի փոխանցմամբ, Վրաստանի հանրային հեռարձակողի Առաջին ալիքին տված հարցազրույցում հայտարարել է հանրապետության վարչապետ Իրակլի Կոբախիձեն։ 

«Եթե Վրաստանի նկատմամբ լինի շահագրգռվածություն, օրինակ, որպես միջնորդ կամ այլ կերպ ավելի ակտիվ ներգրավվելու բանակցությունների ապահովման գործընթացում,այս առումով մենք միշտ արձանագրում ենք մեր պատրաստակամությունը։ Այս պատրաստակամությունն այսօր էլ ուժի մեջ է։ Եթե համապատասխան շահագրգռվածություն լինի, մենք պատրաստ ենք մեր օգնությունն ու աջակցությունն առաջարկել մեր երկու հարևան երկրներին»,- ասել է Կոբախիձեն։

Նախկինում Վրաստանը մեկ անգամ չէ, որ միջնորդ է հանդես եկել Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի միջև հարաբերությունների կարգավորման գործում։ Մասնավորապես, Վրաստանի միջնորդությամբ 2021 թվականի հունիսին Ադրբեջանը Հայաստանին է հանձնել 15 զինվորական, իսկ Երևանը Բաքու ուղարկեց ականապատ քարտեզներ։ Միջնորդության մեկ այլ օրինակ էր Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ԱԳ նախարարներ Արարատ Միրզոյանի և Ջեյհուն Բայրամովի հանդիպումը, որը տեղի ունեցավ 2022 թվականի հուլիսի 16-ին Թբիլիսիում։ 2023 թվականի հոկտեմբերին Թբիլիսիում առաջին անգամ տեղի ունեցավ Վրաստանի, Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի վարչապետների եռակողմ հանդիպումը։
