Իրանի նախագահ Մասուդ Փեզեշքիանը հերքել է ԱՄՆ նորընտիր նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի դեմ մահափորձին իր երկրի մասնակցության մասին մեղադրանքները։

«Սա հերթական հորինվածքն է, որը տարածվում է Իսրայելի և այլ երկրների կողմից՝ նպատակ ունենալով թեժացնել իրանատյացությունը։ Իրանը երբեք նման փորձեր չի արել, և, որքան գիտեմ, չի անի»,- ասել է Պեզեշքիանն ամերիկյան NBC News հեռուստաալիքին տված հարցազրույցում։

2024 թվականի հուլիսին և սեպտեմբերին, Թրամփի դեմ երկու մահափորձից հետո, նրա շտաբը հայտարարել էր, որ ԱՄՆ հետախուզությունը քաղաքական գործչի թիմին զգուշացրել է Իրանի կողմից ԱՄՆ-ում իրավիճակն ապակայունացնելուն ուղղված սպառնալիքների մասին: Իրանի ԱԳՆ-ն այս հայտարարությունները կեղծ էր որակել՝ դրանք կապելով Թրամփի նախընտրական արշավի հետ։

2024 թվականի նոյեմբերի 8-ին ԱՄՆ արդարադատության նախարարությունը մեղադրել էր Իրանի քաղաքացի Ֆարհադ Շաքերիին Թրամփի սպանության ծրագիր մշակելու համար։

Ըստ Վաշինգտոնի, Շաքերին մնում է ազատության մեջ և ենթադրաբար գտնվում է Իրանում։

ԱՄՆ Հետաքննությունների դաշնային բյուրոյի այն ժամանակվա տնօրեն Քրիստոֆեր Ռեյը պնդում էր, որ Իրանի Իսլամական հեղափոխության պահապանների կորպուսը (ԻՀՊԿ) արդեն պայմանավորվել է հանցագործների հետ ԱՄՆ-ում քաղաքական սպանություններ կազմակերպելու վերաբերյալ։
