Ֆրանսիայի Ազգային ժողովն ընդունել է Ուկրաինային օգնությունն ավելացնելու մասին բանաձև, որի շրջանակում առաջարկվում է առգրավել ռուսական սառեցված ակտիվները։ Նիստը հեռարձակվել է խորհրդարանի ստորին պալատի կայքում։

Ինչպես հայտնել է Ազգային ժողովի նախագահ Յաել Բրոն Պիվեն, փաստաթուղթը պաշտպանել է 288 պատգամավոր։ Բանաձևին դեմ է արտահայտվել 54 խորհրդարանական։

Փետրվարի վերջին Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Էմանուել Մակրոնը հայտարարել էր, որ ռուսական սառեցված ակտիվների առգրավումը հնարավոր չէ, քանի որ դա հակասում է միջազգային իրավունքին։ Ֆրանսիայի ղեկավարն ընդգծել է, որ այդ հարցը պետք է դիտարկել բացառապես ուկրաինական հակամարտության կարգավորման խաղաղ բանակցությունների շրջանակում։

Մարտի 12-ին Մակրոնը հանձնարարել է հանրապետության ֆինանսների նախարարությանը ուշադիր ուսումնասիրել Ռուսաստանի սառեցված ակտիվների հնարավոր բռնագրավման հետևանքները։ Ֆրանսիայի կառավարության խոսնակ Սոֆի Պրիման նշել է, որ Փարիզի ներկայիս դիրքորոշումն այն է, որ ակտիվների բռնագրավման հարց ներկայում չկա:
