Հայաստանի անդամակցությունը ԵՄ-ին «Կովկասյան լեռներից էլ բարձր սարերի հետևում է», քանի որ Եվրոպան առայժմ Երևանին նման բան չի խոստացել. այս մասին թելեգրամյան ալիքում համապատասխան հրապարակում է արել ՌԴ Պետդումայի ԱՊՀ հարցերով հանձնաժողովի նախագահի առաջին տեղակալ Կոնստանտին Զատուլինը:

Այսօր ԱԺ-ն երկրորդ ընթերցմամբ և ամբողջությամբ ընդունել է «Եվրոպական Միությանը Հայաստանի Հանրապետության անդամակցելու գործընթացի մեկնարկի մասին» օրենքի նախագիծը: Կողմ են քվեարկել 64 պատգամավոր, դեմ՝ 7, ձեռնպահ՝ 0: «Հայաստան» խմբակցությունը չի մասնակցել քվեարկությանը: «Պատիվ ունեմ»-ը դեմ է քվեարկել: 

Զատուլինը նշել է, որ ԵԱՏՄ-ին անդամակցության շնորհիվ է, որ «Հայաստանի տնտեսությունը դոպինգ է ստացել», իսկ Եվրամիությանն անդամակցությունը կնշանակի հեռանալ այս տարածքից։

«Հայաստանի անդամակցությունը ԵՄ-ին Կովկասյան լեռներից էլ բարձր սարերի հետևում է, քանի որ Եվրոպան առայժմ Երևանին նման բան չի խոստացել: Բայց Հայաստանն արդեն սկսել է ենթարկվել Եվրամիությանը, ինչպես նաև միության առանձին անդամներին, օրինակ՝ Ֆրանսիային, որոնք բորբոքում են Փաշինյանի՝ հետխորհրդային տարածքից դուրս պրծնելու ցանկությունը», - նշել է պատգամավորը:

Մոսկվան բազմիցս քննադատել է ԵՄ-ին անդամակցելու Երևանի ձգտումը և զգուշացրել դրա հետևանքների մասին։ ՌԴ նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովն ասել է, որ Հայաստանը չի կարող միաժամանակ լինել և՛ Եվրամիության, և՛ Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության (ԵԱՏՄ) կազմում։ Փոխվարչապետ Ալեքսեյ Օվերչուկը նաև նշել է, որ «ԵԱՏՄ-ն և ԵՄ-ն անհամատեղելի են» և ԵՄ-ին միանալը համեմատել «Տիտանիկի տոմս գնելու հետ»։
