Հայ դատի Ամերիկայի հանձնախումբը խստորեն դատապարտում է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի ամոթալի նահանջը՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության ամերիկյան ճանաչումից ու հիշատակումից, ինչը դրսևորվեց նրա՝ նույնիսկ «ցեղասպանություն» եզրույթը չհիշատակելու որոշմամբ, որը կայացվել է թուրքական ճնշման ներքո և արտացոլված է Սպիտակ տան կողմից ապրիլի 24-ի ամենամյա ուղերձում։

Մեկնաբանելով Թրամփի հայտարարությունը՝ Հայ դատի Վաշինգտոնի գրասենյակի գործադիր տնօրեն Արամ Համբարյանը նկատել է․ «ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչումից նախագահ Թրամփի նահանջը թուրքական սպառնալիքների առաջ տեղի տալու խայտառակ գործողություն է, ամոթալի հրաժարում ամերիկյան պատասխանատվությունից՝ կանխելու Թուրքիայի և Ադրբեջանի շարունակական ցեղասպանական հարձակումները հայերի դեմ։ Արցախի բնիկ քրիստոնյա հայ բնակչության նկատմամբ Ադրբեջանի կողմից իրականացված էթնիկ զտումից, հայ ռազմագերիների նկատմամբ շարունակվող բռնություններից, հայկական քրիստոնեական ժառանգության ոչնչացումից և Հայաստանի ինքնիշխան տարածքի օկուպացիայից հետո՝ նախագահ Թրամփն ունի պարտավորություն ոչ միայն ազնվորեն և ճշմարտապես ճանաչելու 1915 թվականի Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը, այլև կանխելու դրա շարունակումը Թուրքիայի և Ադրբեջանի կողմից»:

2024 թվականի նախագահական քարոզարշավի ընթացքում նախագահ Թրամփը սոցիալական ցանցերում խոստացել էր «վերականգնել խաղաղությունը Հարավային Կովկասում և կանգնեցնել բռնությունը և էթնիկ զտումները»: Նրա կողմից «ցեղասպանություն» եզրույթի չօգտագործելը՝ օտարերկրյա ճնշման ներքո, այժմ ուղղակի հակասում է այդ խոստմանը:

Ըստ Արամ Համբարյանի՝ «Նախագահ Թրամփի բացթողումը դիվանագիտական սխալ չէ, այլ դիտավորյալ նահանջ ճշմարտությունից և վտանգավոր ազդանշան ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից հակահայ բռնությունների հանդեպ հանդուրժողականության մասին։ Այն արտացոլում է նրա առաջին վարչակազմի ամոթալի լռությունն ու մեղսակցությունը»: Առաջին պաշտոնավարման ընթացքում նախագահ Թրամփը հրաժարվել է ճանաչել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը և ամերիկյան աննախադեպ ռազմական աջակցություն է տրամադրել Ադրբեջանին՝ երբ վերջինս իրականացրեց իր ցեղասպանական հարձակումը Արցախի հայության դեմ։ Նրա՝ Ադրբեջանին պատասխանատվության չենթարկելը 2020 թվականի փաստագրված պատերազմական հանցագործությունների՝ այդ թվում՝ ռազմագերիների խոշտանգումների, խաղաղ բնակիչների սպանությունների և քրիստոնեական ժառանգության ոչնչացման համար, լայնորեն դիտարկվում է որպես նախադրյալ 2023 թվականին Արցախի ցեղասպանական էթնիկ զտման համար:

Նախագահ Թրամփի՝ ցեղասպանությունը չճանաչելը հակասում է Սպիտակ տան, Կոնգրեսի և ԱՄՆ բոլոր 50 նահանգների պաշտոնական ճանաչումներին:

Հայ դատի Ամերիկայի հանձնախումբը նախագահ Թրամփին կրկին կոչ է անում հարգել իր նախընտրական խոստումը և առաջնորդել ԱՄՆ քաղաքականության արմատական վերանայումը Թուրքիայի և Հարավային Կովկասի հանդեպ, վերջ տալ ցեղասպանության ժխտման մեջ ԱՄՆ-ի մեղսակցությանը, հաշվետվություն պահանջել դրա իրագործողներից և ապահովել խաղաղություն՝ հիմնված արդարության և Արցախի քրիստոնյա հայ ժողովրդի վերադարձի իրավունքի վրա:
