Նավթը կշարունակի կենսական նշանակություն ունենալ ապագայում, քանի որ Նավթ արտահանող երկրների կազմակերպությունը (OPEC) կանխատեսում է, որ պահանջարկը մինչև 2050 թվականը կաճի մինչև օրական 123 միլիոն բարել՝ պայմանավորված տնտեսական զարգացմամբ և բնակչության աճով, գրել է OPEC-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Հայթհամ ալ-Գայիսը կազմակերպության հիմնադրման 65-ամյակին նվիրված հոդվածում։

«Առաջիկայում նավթը կշարունակի կենսական նշանակություն ունենալ։ Համաձայն ՕՊԵԿ-ի համաշխարհային նավթային շուկայի վերջին տարեկան վերանայման՝ «World Oil Outlook 2025»-ի, նավթի պահանջարկը կարող է հասնել օրական մոտ 123 միլիոն բարելի մինչև 2050 թվականը։

Այս աճը պայմանավորված է աշխարհի ավելի շատ էներգիայի կարիքով, քանի որ տնտեսությունները ընդլայնվում են, իսկ բնակչությունը՝ աճում։ Էներգետիկ անվտանգությունը բոլորի համար մնում է կարևոր և անհնար է պատկերացնել առանց նավթի»,- գրել է նա։

ՕՊԵԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարը նշել է, որ զարգացող երկրներում միլիարդավոր մարդիկ շարունակում են բախվել էներգետիկ աղքատության, ուստի կարևոր է որոշել, թե ինչպես կարելի է այս աճին հասնել էներգիայի բոլոր տեսակների օգտագործման միջոցով՝ հավասարակշռելով մարդկանց, տնտեսության և շրջակա միջավայրի կարիքները։
