Պուտինն ասաց, որ բոլորը փորձում էին Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի միջև խաղաղության հասնել, բայց դա միայն ինձ հաջողվեց․ Թրամփ

Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը պատմել է Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև խաղաղության վերաբերյալ իր ու Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի զրույցի մասին։ 

«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ անդրադառնալով ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի հետ հնարավոր նոր հանդիպման մասին լրագրողի հարցին՝ Դոնալդ Թրամփն ասել է, որ չի պատրաստվում վատնել իր ժամանակը։ 

ԱՄՆ նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ միշտ հիանալի հարաբերություններ է ունեցել Վլադիմիր Պուտինի հետ, սակայն հիասթափված է, քանի որ կարծում էր, որ Ուկրաինայում խաղաղության հասնելը շատ ավելի վաղ էր լինելու, քան խաղաղությունը Մերձավոր Արևելքում։ Այս համատեքստում Թրամփը հիշել է նաև Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև համաձայնությունների մասին, որոնք ձեռք են բերվել Վաշինգտոնում իր միջնորդությամբ և ներկայացրել է, թե ինչ է դրա մասին իրեն ասել ՌԴ նախագահը։ 

«Մենք ունենք Հայաստան և Ադրբեջան։ Դա շատ բարդ էր։ Փաստացի Պուտինը իմ հետ հեռախոսազրույցի ժամանակ ինձ ասաց, որ որ «դա հրաշալի է, քանի որ բոլորը փորձում էին դրան հասնել, բայց չկարողացան, իսկ դու կարողացար»։ Ինձ դա հաջողվեց»,- մանրամասնել է ԱՄՆ նախագահը։ 

Դոնալդ Թրամփը հիշեցրել է նաև իր միջնորդությամբ այլ հակամարտությունների դադարեցման մասին՝ շեշտելով, որ բոլոր այդ դեպքերում ինքը մտածել է, որ դրանք ավելի բարդ է ավարտելը, քան հակամարտությունը Ռուսաստանի և Ուկրաինայի միջև։ «Բայց ամեն ինչ այլ կերպ դասավորվեց։ Նրանքց մեջ կուտակված շատ ատելություն կա։ Պուտինի և Զելենսկիի միջև շատ մեծ ատելություն կա միմյանց նկատմամբ»,- ասել է Թրամփը։ 

Հայաստանն ու Ադրբեջանը օգոստոսի 8-ին Վաշինգտոնում ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի միջնորդությամբ հռչակագիր ստորագրեցին, որի տակ որպես վկա ստորագրեց նաև ԱՄՆ նախագահը։ Վաշինգտոնի գագաթնաժողովի  ժամանակ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ԱԳ նախարարները նախաստորագրեցին երկու երկրների միջև խաղաղության համաձայնագիրը, ինչպես նաև ԵԱՀԿ-ին ուղղված համատեղ նամակը՝ Մինսկի խումբը լուծարելու մասին։ Դրանից հետո թե Հայաստանի վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը, թե Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը հայտարարել են, որ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև խաղաղություն է հաստատվել։
