Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովն աջակցել է Հունաստանի և ամերիկյան ExxonMobil ընկերության միջև կնքված համաձայնագրին՝ Հոնիական ծովի ափամերձ հատվածում գազի հետախուզման աշխատանքներ իրականացնելու վերաբերյալ, որպեսզի վերջնականապես հրաժարվի ռուսական գազից, հաղորդել է Euroavtive-ը։

Հրատարակությունը «Կրետական ​​գազի» հետախուզումը անվանում է Հունաստանի համար կարևոր տեղաշարժ, քանի որ երկրի իշխանությունները վաղուց քննարկել են ծովի հատակի ռեսուրսների զարգացման հարցը՝ առանց որևէ գործողություն ձեռնարկելու: Հունաստանի իշխանություններն արդեն հայտարարել են, որ փորձնական հորատումը պետք է ավարտվի մինչև 2027 թվականի սկիզբը, և եթե գազի պաշարները շահութաբեր լինեն, արտադրությունը կսկսվի 2030 թվականին և կշարունակվի մինչև առնվազն 2040 թվականը:

Հոկտեմբերի կեսերին ԵՄ Խորհուրդը հաստատել է Ռուսաստանից գազի ներմուծման փուլային դադարեցումը, որն ուժի մեջ կմտնի 2026 թվականի հունվարի 1-ից: Գործող համաձայնագրերի համար անցումային շրջանը կգործի մինչև 2028 թվականի հունվարի 1-ը: ԵՄ-ն նաև մտադիր է ներդնել մի միջոցառում, որը կսառեցնի արգելքը, եթե մատակարարման հետ կապված խնդիրներ առաջանան:

Բացի այդ, ԵՄ կառավարությունները նախատեսում են դադարեցնել ռուսական նավթի գնումները 2028 թվականից սկսած, սակայն այս որոշումը դեռ պետք է համաձայնեցվի Եվրախորհրդարանի հետ։
