«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Բացի այն, որ Փաշինյանն իր ամբողջ էներգիայով, իշխանության ունեցած վարչական ամբողջ ռեսուրսով իրականացնում էր Վաղարշապատում քաղաքապետ նշանակելու գործողությունը, շարունակում էր նաև ՀԱԵ հերթական եկեղեցին «գրավելու», կարգալույծ քահանաներով կեղծ «պատարագների» մասնակցելու գիծը: Այս անգամ՝ Խաչիկ գյուղում: Շատերը նկատեցին, որ կեղծ «պատարագի» մասնակիցների քանակը նվազում է կիրակիից կիրակի: Նկատեցին նաև, որ անցած երկու կիրակիներին Հովհաննավանքում ընդհանրապես գրեթե մարդ չկար, առավել ևս՝ քպական չկար, եթե չհաշվենք կարգալույծ արված Ստեփան Ասատրյանին:

Այս մասին շատ է խոսվում: Իսկ իրականում վստահ ենք, որ այդ ամենը Փաշինյանին քիչ է հետաքրքրում: Նա հստակ իր առաջ դրված խնդիրն է լուծում կամ փորձում լուծել, այն է՝ ամեն գնով զավթել Մայր Աթոռը, գրավել Վեհարանը և բռնի ուժով գահընկեց անել Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոսին:

Լավ, ինչո՞ւ է Փաշինյանը, չնայած մասնակիցների փոքր թվին, իր քաղաքական ակցիաները, «պատարագային» հանրահավաքները ոչ միայն շարունակում, այլև ամեն անգամ մի նոր վանք, եկեղեցի թիրախավորում այդ նպատակով: Հնարավոր նպատակներից մեկն այն է, որ նա այդպիսով նշված վանքերը որոշակիորեն «կտրում է» Մայր Աթոռից: Համենայն դեպս, այն վանքերը, որտեղ նա ոտք է դրել ու որտեղ նրա համար «պատարագ» անվանման ներքո հակականոնական բեմադրություն է արվել, հանրությունն ընկալում է որպես պղծված սրբավայր: Հակա-«պատարագով» այդ վանքերը հասարակության աչքում որոշակիորեն օտարվում են Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցուց: Դե, առնվազն այդպիսի հույս ունի Նկոլ Փաշինյանը ու դրան է ձգտում:

Զուգահեռաբար, նա պառակտում է մտցնում հոգևորականության մեջ, գտնում է ինչ-ինչ «հոգևորականների», մեկին կամ երկուսին, հետո երեքին-չորսին, քիչ-քիչ, բայց գտնում է ու այդ չափով պառակտում: Ու դա անում է հետևողականորեն:

Այո, շատերը ծաղրում են, հակա-«պատարագների» մասնակիցների նվազ քանակն են նշում և այլն: Բայց Փաշինյանը թքած ունի նման «մանրուքների» վրա: Նրա պատերազմը Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու դեմ է, և նա հետամուտ է իր առաջ դրված խնդրին. վանքերն է կտրում Եկեղեցուց, քրիստոնյաներին կտրում է պղծված վանքերից, միաբանության ներսում է պառակտում գցում, որպեսզի հաջորդող գործողություններով քայլ առ քայլ մոտենա Մայր Աթոռը զավթելուն:

Դատելով Վաղարշապատի ընտրության արդյունքների 48 տոկոսից նաև ցուցադրաբար ոգևորվելուց՝ Փաշինյանը տրամադրված է մոտակա հեռանկարում իրականացնել իր «ջախջախիչ» հարձակումը Մայր Տաճարի, Մայր Աթոռի ու Վեհարանի վրա:
