Հնդկաստանի տիեզերական հետազոտությունների կազմակերպությունը (ISRO) ամերիկյան կոմերցիոն հաղորդակցության BlueBird Block-2 արբանյակ է արձակել ցածր երկրամերձ ուղեծիր: Արձակումը կազմակերպության կողմից հեռարձակվել է սոցիալական ցանցերում:

Արբանյակը ուղեծիր է դուրս բերվել հնդկական ամենահզոր LVM3 կրող հրթիռի միջոցով՝ Շրիհարիկոտա տիեզերակայանից: «Ուրախ եմ հայտարարել, որ LVM3 հրթիռը հաջողությամբ և ճշգրտորեն ուղեծիր է դուրս բերել BlueBird արբանյակը», - արձակումից հետո կայացած ճեպազրույցի ժամանակ ասել է ISRO-ի ղեկավար Վաննիյապերումալ Նարայանանը: «Սա երբևէ հնդկական հրթիռով տիեզերք ուղարկված ամենածանր արբանյակն է», - հավելել է նա:

«BlueBird» կապի արբանյակը մշակվել է ամերիկյան «AST SpaceMobile» ընկերության կողմից։ Դրա քաշը կազմում է 6,5 տոննա։ Այն ԱՄՆ-ից Հնդկաստան է ժամանել հոկտեմբերի 19-ին։

«BlueBird»-ի արձակումն արդեն ԱՄՆ-ի և ISRO-ի (Հնդկաստանի տիեզերական հետազոտությունների կազմակերպություն) միջև համագործակցության երկրորդ օրինակն է։ Հուլիսին ISRO-ն հաջողությամբ արձակել է 1,5 միլիարդ դոլար արժողությամբ «NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar Mission»-ը, որի նպատակն է ստանալ Երկրի բարձրորակ լուսանկարներ՝ մառախուղի, խիտ ամպերի և սառցե շերտերի միջով թափանցելու հնարավորությամբ։
