deita.ru-ն «Քեդմին բացատրել է, թե ինչու է Թրամփը հաշտեցրել Հայաստանին Ադրբեջանի հետ» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, որ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև հակամարտությունը ավելին է, քան պարզապես երկու պետությունների միջև բախում: Այդ մասին «Սպուտնիկ» ռադիոկայանի եթերում հայտարարել է Իսրայելի գաղտնի ծառայության նախկին ղեկավար Յակով Քեդմին: Նրա խոսքով, Թուրքիան է կանգնած Ադրբեջանի կողքին և ակտիվորեն աջակցում է նրան: Միևնույն ժամանակ, Կովկասում իրավիճակի վատթարացումը ԱՄՆ ծրագրերի մեջ չի մտնում, քանի որ հակամարտության սրացումը կարող է հանգեցնել տարածաշրջանի անկայունացման, ինչը հակասում է ամերիկյան ռազմավարական շահերին: Ավելին, Ռուսաստանը, որը տարածաշրջանում զգալի ռազմական և քաղաքական ազդեցություն ունի, գտնվում է մոտակայքում և, չնայած իր ներկայիս չեզոքությանը, կարող է ռուս-ուկրաինական հակամարտությունից հետո շատ ակտիվ միջամտել հետագա իրադարձություններին, կարծիք է հայտնել փորձագետը:

Քեդմին նաև ընդգծել է, որ Հայաստանում է գտնվում ԱՄՆ ամենամեծ դեսպանատներից մեկը: Նրա խոսքով, վերջին տարիներին այդ երկրում տեղի ունեցած բոլոր իրադարձությունները նախաձեռնվել են հենց ամերիկյան կառույցների կողմից: Բայց ներկայում, նշել է քաղաքագետը, Դոնալդ Թրամփը հետաքրքրություն չի ցուցաբերում միջամտելու Հայաստանի ներքին գործերին: Նրա հիմնական նպատակն է մեղմացնել Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև հակամարտությունը՝ հետագա սրացումից խուսափելու համար: Ինչպես բացատրել է Քեդմին, Թրամփի ամենակարևոր նպատակը Կովկասում Ֆրանսիայի ազդեցությունը չեզոքացնելն է։ Հաշվի առնելով Եվրոպայի հետ լարված հարաբերությունները՝ ԱՄՆ նախագահը նախընտրում է տարածաշրջանում իրավիճակը կառավարել ինքնուրույն, քան այդ դերը զիջել եվրոպացի քաղաքական գործիչներին, եզրափակել է փորձագետը։
