Սիրիայի նախագահ Ահմեդ աշ-Շարաան Մերձավոր Արևելքի երկրներին կոչ է արել օգտագործել երկրի լոգիստիկ կարողությունները՝ առևտրային երթուղիները վերակառուցելու և ԱՄՆ-ի ու Իրանի միջև հակամարտության հետևանքները հաղթահարելու համար։ Այս մասին հայտնում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:

«Սիրիան մատնանշում էր իր ռազմավարական դիրքի կարևորությունը անցյալ տարի մեր Դամասկոս գալու պահից ի վեր, բայց աշխարհն այս հարցին իսկապես ուշադրություն դարձրեց Իրանում պատերազմի սկսվելուց հետո։ Սիրիան անվտանգ միջանցք է և այլընտրանքային երթուղի էներգակիրների մատակարարման համար։ Սա հատկապես վերաբերում է Պարսից ծոցի երկրների և Թուրքիայի միջև տրանսպորտային հաղորդակցությանը։ Սիրիայի ելքը դեպի Միջերկրական ծով նրան դարձնում է հիանալի և հուսալի օղակ մատակարարման արևելյան և արևմտյան շղթաների միջև»,- ասել է Սիրիայի նախագահը։

Նա նշել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ի ռազմական գործողության հետևանքով առաջացած լոգիստիկ ճգնաժամի ֆոնին իրաքյան նավթի մի մասն արդեն ուղղվում է արտահանման Սիրիայի ծովային նավահանգիստների միջոցով։ Նրա կարծիքով՝ Դամասկոսի լավ հարաբերությունները Թուրքիայի, Հորդանանի և Պարսից ծոցի երկրների հետ կծառայեն մատակարարման այլընտրանքային շղթաների զարգացմանը։ Աշ-Շարաան ակնկալում է, որ ներկա իրավիճակի ֆոնին առանձին երկրների համար ժամանակավոր լուծումները շուտով կդառնան մշտական։

Սիրիայի նախագահը նշել է, որ ամենահեռանկարային նախագիծը «Չորս ծովերի» ծրագիրն է։ Սիրիական ղեկավարության մտահղացմամբ՝ այն պետք է միավորի Կասպից, Միջերկրական և Կարմիր ծովերի, ինչպես նաև Պարսից ծոցի լոգիստիկան՝ Ադրբեջանի, Սիրիայի և Թուրքիայի տարածքով։ Այս նախագծի իրականացումը, որի շուրջ աշխատանքները շարունակվում են, թույլ կտար օպտիմալացնել առևտրային երթուղիները և էժանացնել լոգիստիկան ամբողջ տարածաշրջանում։
