«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

tsargrad.tv–ն «Ռուսաստանը հետաքրքրված է բարեկամական Հայաստանով» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, որ Ռուսաստանն ունի օրինական շահեր Հայաստանում, և բնական է, որ Մոսկվան ձգտում է, որ Հայաստանում իշխանության լինեն Ռուսաստանին բարեկամ ուժեր: Նման կարծիք է հայտնել քաղաքագետ Սերգեյ Մարկեդոնովը Մոսկվա-Մինսկ-Երևան-Տաշքենդ տեսակոնֆերանսի ժամանակ:

Մասնագետը մեկնաբանել է որոշ քննադատների այն պնդումները, որ Ռուսաստանը հույսը դնում է հայկական ընդդիմության վրա: Նրա խոսքով, Մոսկվայի դիրքորոշումը ոչ թե կոնկրետ անհատի աջակցելն է, այլ Ռուսաստանի հետ հարաբերություններում որդեգրվող քաղաքական կուրսին հավանությունը: Ռուսական կողմի համար կարևոր է, որ առաջիկա ընտրությունները լինեն հնարավորինս հակամարտություններից զերծ:

«Ո՞վ կարող է ցույց տալ որևէ երկիր, որը հետաքրքրված չէ իր սեփական շահերը առաջ մղելով: Տարօրինակ նարատիվներ են տարածվում, որ, օրինակ՝ Ռուսաստանը ցանկանում է այնտեղ ունենալ իր ներկայությունը: Իսկ ԱՄՆ-ը չի ցանկանո՞ւմ: Կարելի է մտածել, որ իբր ԵՄ-ն դա չի ուզում, կամ Ֆրանսիան, կամ, իհարկե, Թուրքիան շահեր չունի Կովկասում», - ասել է Մարկեդոնովը: Քաղաքագետը նշել է, որ եթե Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հաղթի ընտրություններում, այն մոտեցումները, որոնց հարում են Սամվել Կարապետյանը, Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանը և նրանց կողմնակիցները, չեն վերանա: Սխալ է նաև ենթադրել, որ Փաշինյանի ընտրությամբ բոլոր քաղաքական ուժերը հանկարծ կսկսեն ցիտել «իրական Հայաստան» հասկացությունը: Նմանատիպ իրավիճակ է սպասվում նաև հակառակ սցենարում. Կարապետյանի կամ որևէ այլ ընդդիմադիր թեկնածուի հաղթանակը չի հանգեցնի այդ հասկացության անհետացմանը։

Սերգեյ Մարկեդոնովը կեղծ է անվանել ընտրությունների արդյունքների ընկալումը որպես քաղաքական գործընթացի որոշակի վերջնական արդյունք: Հայաստանում, ինչպես ցանկացած այլ երկրում, մնում է հասարակական տրամադրությունների այն բազմազանությունը, որը կպահպանվի նաև հետագայում՝ անկախ քվեարկության արդյունքից: Ռուսաստանի նպատակն է ապահովել, որ իր ազդեցությունը տարածաշրջանում ավելի մեծ կշիռ ունենա, քան Միացյալ Նահանգներինը, Եվրոպական Միությանը, Ֆրանսիայինը կամ Թուրքիայինը։
