Ֆրանսիայում կայանալիք «Մեծ յոթնյակի» (G7) գագաթնաժողովի շրջանակում Հնդկաստանի վարչապետ Նարենդրա Մոդին կարող է երկկողմ հանդիպում ունենալ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի հետ։ Այս մասին հայտնում են հնդկական լրատվամիջոցները՝ հղում անելով կառավարական շրջանակների իրենց աղբյուրներին։

Ինչպես նշում է The Hindu թերթը, սա կլինի Մոդիի և Թրամփի առաջին շփումը 2025 թվականի փետրվարին Վաշինգտոնում կայացած նրանց վերջին առանձնազրույցից հետո։

Աղբյուրները նախատեսվող քննարկման մանրամասները չեն բացահայտել, սակայն հայտնի է, որ կողմերը կանդրադառնան երկկողմ առևտրային համաձայնագրին, ինչպես նաև կքննարկեն փոխադարձ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող տարածաշրջանային ու համաշխարհային այլ խնդիրներ։

Մոդիի և Թրամփի հանդիպման նախապատրաստման վերաբերյալ պաշտոնական տեղեկություն դեռևս չկա։ Հնդկաստանի արտգործնախարարությունը նախօրեին հայտնել էր, որ «գագաթնաժողովի շրջանակում վարչապետը երկկողմ հանդիպումներ կունենա նաև մի շարք համաշխարհային առաջնորդների հետ» (առանց կոնկրետ անուններ նշելու)։

Նյու Դելին ու Վաշինգտոնը 2025 թվականի փետրվարից ի վեր շարունակում են բանակցություններ վարել լայնածավալ առևտրային համաձայնագրի շուրջ։ Ըստ այդ բանակցությունների, նախատեսվում է մինչև 2030 թվականը երկկողմ առևտրի ծավալը հասցնել 500 միլիարդ դոլարի։ Հնդկաստանը ԱՄՆ-ից պահանջում է չեղարկել կամ նվազեցնել իր ամբողջ արդյունաբերական արտադրանքի արտահանման սակագները, ինչպես նաև ազատել սննդամթերքի ու գյուղմթերքի լայն տեսականին ամերիկյան բարձր մաքսատուրքերից։ Փոխարենը՝ Հնդկաստանը մտադրություն է հայտնել առաջիկա հինգ տարիներին ավելացնել ԱՄՆ-ից էներգակիրների, ինքնաթիռների և տեխնոլոգիաների գնումները։

Կողմերն արդեն ավարտել են առևտրային գործարքի առաջին փուլի մշակումը։ Նախատեսվում էր դրանում ներառված դրույթները վերածել իրավական փաստաթղթի, որը երկու երկրներն էլ ծրագրում էին ստորագրել դեռ մարտին, սակայն դա մինչ օրս տեղի չի ունեցել։
