Կուբայական հեղափոխության առաջնորդ Ֆիդել Կաստրոն տեղական Granma պարբերականին տված հարցազրույցում մատնանշել է Ռուսաստանի հանդեպ ԱՄն և ԵՄ կիրառած քաղաքականության հիմնական սխալները: Վերջինս խոսել է նաև աշխարհի քաղաքական քարտեզի վերաձևումների մասին: Կուբայական հեղափոխության կուռքի կարծիքով չափազանց պրիմիտվ է Ռուսաստանին մեղադրանք ներկայացնելը Ուկրաինայում մալազիական ավիալայների վթարի մեջ մասնակցություն ունենալու կամ դրա հեղինակը լինելու առնչությամբ: “Գլխավոր սխալը, որ ԱՄՆ-ն ու Եվրոպան թույլ են տալիս Ռուսաստանի նկատմամբ իրենց ներկայիս քաղաքականության մեջ այն է, որ նրանք թերագնահատում են պարզ ռուսաստանցիներին, ովքեր Երկրորդ համաշխարհային պատերազմի ժամանակ իրենց հայրենիքը պաշտպանում էին սպարտացիների նման”,-նկատել է Կաստրոն: Միաժամանակ նա ընդգծել է, որ ուզեն կամ չուզեն, համաշխարհային քաղաքականության մեծ խաղացողները պետք է ընդունեն, որ աշխարհի քաղաքական քարտեզի վրա “ասպարեզ են մտել նոր ուժեր”: Նրա խոսքերով Բրազիլիան, Ռուսաստանը, Չինաստանը, ՀԱՀ-ն Լատինական Ամերիկայում, Կարիբյան ավազանի երկրների մեծ մասում ու Աֆրիկայում ունեցած իրենց կապերով “հանդիսանում են մի ուժ, որը կարող է հավասարը հավասարի հետ խոսել մեծ խաղացողների, ներառյալ ԱՄՆ, եվրոպական երկրների և Ճապոնիայի հետ”: Ռուսաստանին մեղադրելը ուկրաինական երկնքում մալազիական ավիալայների կործանման մեջ ցույց է տալիս Արևմուտքի թուլությունը, համոզված է Ֆիդելը: Նրա համոզմամբ ոչ մի ռուս պաշտոնատար անձ երբեք նման քայլի չէր դիմի: Հիշեցնենք, որ այս տարվա հուլիսի կեսերին իր լատինաամերիկյան այցելությունների շարքի ընթացքում ՌԴ նախագահ Վլ. Պուտինն այցելել է նաև Կուբա և հանդիպել Ֆիդել Կաստրոյի հետ: Մոտ մեկ ժամ տևած առանձնազրույցի ժամանակ երկու առաջնորդները քննարկել են միջազգային քաղաքական ու տնտեսական իրադրությանը վերաբերող հարցեր:
