«Հիմա ավելի կարևորի և արժեքավորի մասին...
Շնորհավորում եմ բոլորիս Madison square garden-ում տարած գեղեցիկ հաղթանակի կապակցությամբ: Սա առանց չափազանցության պատմական իրադարձություն էր նախ այն պատճառով, որ առաջին հայազգի Հայաստանը ներկայացնող մարզիկն էր հանդես գալիս այդ հիասքանչ դահլիճում, որտեղ ներկա էր 6000-ից ավել հանդիսատես՝ այդ թվում մեր հայրենակիցները, ինչն անչափ ոգևորող և հաճելի էր, և նաև շատ կարևոր էր ֆորմատը՝ հունահռոմեական և ազատ ոճի ըմբիշների մենամարտ՝ հակառակորդի հարազատ երկրում և քաղաքում՝ դրանից բխող բոլոր հետևանքներով։ Ստորև մանրամասն կանդրադառնամ այդ «հետևանքներին», որոնք, վստահաբար կարող եմ ասել, մեծ ազդեցություն ունեցան բուն գոտեմարտի ընթացքի վրա և լավ դաս եղան հետագա նման միջոցառումներին պատրաստվելու հարցում' թեկուզև ինձ նման փորձառու մարզիկի համար։
Մինչ այդ 2 խոսքով վերլուծեմ բուն գոտեմարտը, որը շատ դիտարժան ստացվեց: Բազմաթիվ ամերիկացիներ հիացած էին և նշում էին, որ վաղուց ներկա չէին եղել նման հետաքրքիր հունահռոմեական ոճի գոտեմարտի...
Դահլիճը իրոք ազդեցիկ էր, և ամերիկացիներն էլ իսկապես շոուներ կազմակերպելու հարցում լավագույններից են...Գոտեմարտն ընթացավ գրեթե ամբողջությամբ այնպես, ինչպես որ ես նախատեսել էի, մի փոքր վրիպումով իմ կողմից, որում անչափ մեծ էր կազմակերպիչների մեղքը... Նախ, ամբողջ գոտեմարտի ընթացքում ինձ 2 անգամ պասիվություն տվեցին. մի բան, որ ինձ հետ երբեք չի եղել միջազգայինում... այսինքն, պարզ էր, թե դատավորը ինչ տակտիկա է ընտրել... և բացի դրանից,իմ կատարած հնարքը պահանջվածից ցածր գնահատվեց: Այսինքն, գոտեմարտը պետք է ավարտվեր առնվազն 8-2 իմ օգտին, ստացվեց 6-3՝ կրկին իմ օգտին)))
Մյուս պատճառը, որ զգալիորեն խանգարեց ինձ գոտեմարտի ընթացքում, կազմակերպիչների կողմից մեր բոլոր պայմանավորվածությունների կոպիտ խախտումն էր...Եվ միայն դրանից հետո համոզվեցի, որ նահանգներում առանց մենեջերի շատ բարդ է, գրեթե անհնար...
Ամեն ինչ սկսվեց օդնավակայանից, երբ ինձ և մարզիչիս ոչ ոք չդիմավորեց: Երբ մեր տեղացի հայի օգնությամբ ժամանեցինք հյուրանոց և կապնվեցի կազմակերպչի հետ՝ հայտնելու դժգոհությունս, 1000 անգամ ներողություն խնդրեց և նշեց, թե դա իբր թյուրիմացություն է... Բայց հետագայում պարզվեց, որ դրանք խորապես մտածված քայլեր էին, ինձ հունից հանելու, նյարդայնացնելու և հնարավորինս դժվարություններ ստեղծելու համար: Խնդիրներ հյուրանոցում, մարզումների կազմակերպման հարցում, զույգերի բացակայություն, փորձ՝ փոխելու գոտեմարտի օրենքները!!! պայմանավորված քաշը...
Բնականաբար, այս ամենը չէր կարող հետևանք չթողնել բուն գոտեմարտի վրա, ինչին և նրանք ձգտում էին: Ուղղակի, իմ փորձի շնորհիվ կարողացա անհրաժեշտ պատասխան տալ թե՛ գորգի վրա, թե՛ դրանից դուրս:
Այնպես որ, երբ ասում են, որ ԱՄՆ-ում ամեն բան ճիշտ է, դա բնավ էլ այդպես չէ... Գերմանիայից հետո, սա լրիվ այլ իրականություն էր և շատ լավ փորձ հետագայի համար:
