Վաշինգտոնը, Եվրոպան և միջազգային կազմակերպությունները խստորեն են անդրադարձել Ադրբեջանում «Ազատություն» ռադիոկայանի դեմ բռնաճնշումներին: Նրանց կողմից այդ առնչությամբ արված բոլոր հայտարարություններում պահանջվում է վերջ դնել անկախ մամուլի դեմ ճնշումներին և կատարվածը գնահատել որպես պաշտոնականից տարբերվող կարծիքի նկատմամբ թշնամական վերաբերմունք:
Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարության կողմից այդ առնչությամբ արված հայտարարության մեջ Ադրբեջանի իշխանություններին կոչ է արվում պաշտպանել մամուլի ազատությունը և հարգել միջազգային պարտավորությունները: ԵԱՀԿ-ում ԱՄՆ-ի դեսպան Դենիել Բայերը Twitter-ի իր էջում գրել է. «Ազատ մամուլի վրա հարձակումը թույլ, իր նկատմամբ հավատ չունեցող և կոռումպացված կառավարությունների ու առաջնորդների վարվեցողություն է»:
«Լրագրողներ առանց սահմանների» միջազգային կազմակերպությունը հայտարարել է, որ «Ադրբեջանը Եվրոպայում լրագրողների ամենամեծ բանտն է»: Նշելով, որ 2014 թվականին իրենց կողմից անցկացված հետազոտությունների արդյունքներով աշխարհի 180 երկրների մեջ մամուլի ազատությամբ Ադրբեջանը զբաղեցրել է 160-րդ տեղը, կազմակերպությունը հայտարարության մեջ նշել է. «Ադրբեջանի կառավարությունն իր առաջ նպատակ է դրել վերացնել իր հետ համակարծիք չլինողներին, իր հետ աշխատելուց բոլոր հրաժարվողներին: Այն, որ այդ երկրում նվազագույնը 15 լրագրող և բլոգեր կան բանտարկված, Ադրբեջանը վերածում է Եվրոպայում լրագրողների ամենամեծ բանտի»:
Եվրոպայի խորհրդի մարդու իրավունքների հանձնակատար Նիլս Մուժնիեքսը հայտարարել է, որ ինքը ցնցված է Բաքվում «Ազատություն» ռադիոկայանի հետ կատարվածից: Նա Ադրբեջանի իշխանությանը կոչ է արել անմիջապես վերջ դնել խոսքի և մամուլի ազատության դեմ հարձակումներին և կատարել մարդու իրավունքների հետ կապված պարտավորությունները: Ռադիոկայանի դեմ հարձակման հետ կապված խստորեն են արձագանքել նաև ԵԽ գլխավոր քարտուղար Թյուրբյորն Յագլանդը և ԵԱՀԿ-ի մամուլի ազատության գծով հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Դունյա Միյատովիչը:
