Դերասանուհի և ֆոտոմոդել Պամելա Անդերսոնին առաջարկել են մասնակցել լայն տարածում գտած «սառը ցնցուղ» բարեգործական ակցիային, որի նպատակն է ուշադրություն հրավիրել Լու Գերիգի հիվանդության վրա (Ամիոտրոֆիկ կողմնային սկլերոզ)։
Անդերսոնը Twitter-ում պատասխանել է, որ չի կարող միանալ, քանի որ Ամիոտրոֆիկ կողմնային սկլերոզ հիվանդության ուսումնասիրությունները կատարվում են կենդանիների վրա, որոնց իրավունքների պաշտպանությամբ նա զբաղվում է 2010 թվականից, գրում է Huffington Post-ը:

Անդերսոնն առաջարկել է ուսումնասիրություններն ու փորձարկումները տեղափոխել ժամանակակից դաշտ՝ օգտագործելով փորձարկումների վիտրո մեթոդը, որը նշանակում է՝ փորձարկում անել կենդանու մարմնից դուրս, ինչպես նաև օգտագործել համակարգչային առաջատար ծրագրեր և վերջապես կամավոր մարդկանց գտնել, որոնք դեմ չեն լինի օգտագործել նոր դեղամիջոցները:
