Ինչպես հայտնում է ԼՂՀ ՊՆ մամուլի ծառայությունը, ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական հակամարտ զորքերի շփման գծի ողջ երկայնքով կրկին նկատվել է լարվածության աճ:
Ըստ պաշտպանության բանակի օպերատիվ տվյալների` հունվարի 15-ին եւ լույս 16-ի գիշերը հակառակորդը հրադադարի պահպանման ռեժիմը խախտել է շուրջ 200 անգամ, որի ընթացքում, տարբեր տրամաչափի հրաձգային զինատեսակներից, հայ դիրքապահների ուղղությամբ արձակել է ավելի քան 2000 կրակոց:
Չնայած նրան, որ ՊԲ առաջապահ զորամասերի կողմից ձեռնարկված պատասխան գործողությունների արդյունքում՝ առաջնագծում հակառակորդի դրսեւորած ակտիվությունը կասեցվել է, այնուամենայնիվ, հայ դիրքապահները շփման գծի ողջ երկարությամբ շարունակում են վստահորեն իրականացնել մարտական հերթապահություն: Թե ի՞նչ վիճակ է տիրում ներկայումս սահմանին, և գրանցվե՞լ են արտառոց դեպքեր հակառակորդի գործողությունները կասեցնելուց հետո, Orer.am-ը ճշտեց ԼՂՀ նախագահի մամուլի խոսնակ Դավիթ Բաբայանից. «Ներկայումս սահմանում վիճակը նորմալ և համեմատաբար հանգիստ է, կրակոցներ միշտ եղել են, և կարծում եմ կլինեն, առանձնապես անհանգստանալու առիթ չկա»:
Իսկ Չանաքքալեի ճակատամարտի 100-ամյա տարելիցը ապրիլի 24-ին նշելու Թուրքիայի նախաձեռնության եւ ՀՀ նախագահին այդ առիթով Թուրքիա հրավիրելու վերաբերյալ պարոն Բաբայանը նշեց. «Գտնում եմ, որ Թուրքիայի այդ քայլը բացարձակ անհեթեթություն է` ոչ միայն Հայաստանի Հանրապետության նախագահին այնտեղ հրավիրելու, այն էլ ապրիլի 24-ին, այլ ընդհանրապես` բոլոր տեսանկյուններից: Կարծում եմ, որ սա միջազգային հանրության եւ առաջին հերթին եվրոպական երկրների հանդեպ անհարգալից վերաբերմունքի դրսեւորումն է, որովհետեւ այդ ճակատամարտը տեղի է ունեցել Մեծ Բրիտանիայի, Ֆրանսիայի՝ իրենց դաշնակից երկրների հետ, որտեղ թուրքերը հասել են առավելության, չնայած` առավելության էլ չեն հասել, պարզապես այնպես է ստացվել, որ այդ երկրները դուրս են եկել այդտեղից, եւ հիմա Էրդողանը, կարծես` ձեռք առնելով եվրոպական երկրների ղեկավարությանը, այդ թվում` Ֆրանսիային եւ Մեծ Բրիտանիային, ուղերձ է հղել եւ կանչել այդ միջոցառմանը: Կարծում եմ, որ դա անհարգալից վերաբերմունք ու ծաղրանք է, որը ցույց է տալիս Թուրքիայի իրական պատկերը: Փոխանակ Թուրքիան ընդունի Հայաստանի հրավերը, և տվյալ պետության ղեկավար բարձրաստիճան այրերը գան մասնակցեն Հայոց Ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին, ապաշխարեն Թուրքիայի ժողովրդի եւ պետության համար, նրանք կատարում են ճիշտ հակառակը: Կարծում եմ` սա ազդակ է, որը միջազգային հանրությունը անպատասխան չպետք է թողնի»:
