Ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության կարգավորման գործընթացի շուրջ ստեղծված իրադրությունը կարող է փոխվել միայն այն դեպքում, եթե ԱՄՆ-ը, ԵՄ երկրները, այդ թվում և Ֆրանսիան, այս հարցում մեծ ակտիվություն ցուցաբերեն: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին Ադրբեջանում ԱՄՆ նախկին դեսպան, ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի նախկին ԱՄՆ համանախագահ Մեթյու Բրայզան հայտնել է ադրբեջանական «Թրենդ» գործակալությանը տված հարցազրույցում:
Բրայզան նշել է, որ Արևմուտքն այս պահին չի կարող իր ուշադրությունն ամբողջությամբ կենտրոնացնել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտությունը կարգավորելու գործընթացի վրա' հաշվի առնելով Ռուսաստանի և Ուկրաինայի շուրջ ստեղծված իրավիճակը:
«Ներկայումս լավ հիմք կա այս հարցում բեկում մտցնելու համար: ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբին հաճախ քննադատում են՝ ասելով, որ այն տեսանելի արդյունքների չի հասել, սակայն դա այդպես չէ: Մինսկի խումբը Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահների հետ համատեղ հստակեցրել է բանակցությունների շրջանակները»,- ասել է Բրայզան: Նրա համոզմամբ՝ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարները համապատասխան քաղաքական աջակցություն չեն ստանում Արևմուտքի, այդ թվում և ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից:
Մեկնաբանելով մի շարք լրատվամիջոցներում տարածվող տեղեկությունները Մինսկի խմբի ձևաչափի փոփոխության հետ կապված՝ դիվանագետը հայտնել է, որ անհնար է համարում Մինսկի խմբում Թուրքիայի և Գերմանիայի հայտնվելը: Նրա հավաստմամբ՝ Հայաստանը երբեք չի ընդունի Թուրքիային որպես ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության կարգավորման գործընթացի միջնորդ:
Բրայզան առավել արդյունավետ է համարել Մինսկի խմբի միջնորդական առաքելության գործունեության դադարեցումը: «Այլևս միջնորդների անհրաժեշտություն չկա, և կողմերը կարող ենք գտնել հատուկ ներկայացուցիչների, ովքեր էլ կկազմակերպեն հանդիպումները»,- ասել է Բրայզան:
