Ֆրանսիական «Քարֆուր» առևտրային ցանցի առաջին սուպերմարկետը Հայաստանում ամենայն հավանականությամբ կբացվի մարտի սկզբին: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, փետրվարի 4-ին հրավիրած մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ Հայաստանում Ֆրանսիայի արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Ժան-Ֆրանսուա Շարպանտիեն հայտնեց, որ նախապատրաստական աշխատ անքները վերջնամշակման փուլի են հասնում:
«Անդրադառնալով ապրանքատեսականու հարցին՝ ասեմ, որ «Քարֆուր»-ի մոտցումը հետևյալն է. այս կամ այն երկրում հաստատվելուց հետո այն հակված է աշխատել տեղացի արտադրողների հետ»,- հայտնել է Շարպանտիեն՝ ընդգծելով, որ այս մոտեցումը, բնականաբար, չի կարող իր ազդեցությունը չթողնել առաջարկ-սպառող հարաբերությունների վրա: Անդրադառնալով այն սննդատեսակներին, որոնք «Քարֆուր»-ը միտում կունենա ներկայացնել իր հաճախորդներին՝ Ֆրանսիայի դեսպանը նշեց, որ դրանք շատ յուրահատուկ գյուղմթերքներ են: «Դրանք ոչ թե թերի մշակված կամ ոչ լրիվ մշակված ապրանքատեսակներ են, այլ պատրաստի մթերքներ, ինչպես օրինակ, գինիների կամ հալած պանիրների որոշ տեսականի: Լինելով հատուկ գյուղատնտեսական մթերքներ, բնականաբար, դրանք մրցակցությունից դուրս են և ունեն հատուկ սպառողներ: Այսպիսին է «Քարֆուր»-ի մոտեցումը»,- ասել է դիվանագետը՝ հավելելով, որ այն ունի հստակ իր առնելիքն իմացող հաճախորդ:

Carrefour-ն այս տարածաշրջանում բացեց իր առաջին հիպերմարկետը՝ Թբիլիսիում:
