Ադրբեջանագետ Սարգիս Ասատրյանն Ադրբեջանի կողմից իրավիճակը սրելու փորձերը կապում է այդ երկրի ներսում առկա լուրջ խնդիրների հետ: Փետրվարի 7-ին լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը նա նկատեց, որ վերջին շրջանում Ադրբեջանի կողմից սահմանին իրավիճակն ապակայունացնելու փորձերը զգալիորեն ավելացել են, ինչը կապված է երկրում առկա ներքաղաքական խնդիրների հետ: «Կան շատ բաներ, որ արտաքանապես կարող են չերևալ, սակայն դրանք լրջորեն անհանգստացնում են Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարությանը: Նախ նավթի գների անկումն էականորեն ազդել է Ադրբեջանի տնտեսության վրա, ինչի մասին է վկայում Ադրբեջանի նախագահի ելույթը, որում նա նշում էր, որ ծախսերը հարկավոր է կրճատել և ձգել գոտիները: Ադրբեջանում վերջին շրջանում ակտիվացել են նաև ծայրահեղ իսլամիստները, որոնք սկսել են որոշակի գաղափարական հենք ունենալ: Ծայրահեղականներն Ադրբեջանում շատ հզոր ցանց ունեն, ինչի շնորհիվ կարողանում են նոր մարդկանց ներգրավել: Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարությանը սա չի կարող չանհանգստացնել, քանի որ նրանք կարող են միանալ «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորմանը»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ նշեց ադրբեջանագետը:
Նրա խոսքով' վերջին շրջանում Ադրբեջանում ակտիվացել են նաև ազգային փոքրամասնությունների ներկայացուցիչները, մասնավորապես, թալիշները և թաթերը: «Կարծում եմ, որ Ադրբեջանի կողմից հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանին և ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական շփման գծում լարվածություն ստեղծելու փորձերը, կրակոցները, դիվերսիաներն ադրբեջանական հասարակությանը գոնե մեկ գաղափարի շուրջ համախմբելու, ստեղծված իրավիճակից հասարակության ուշադրությունը շեղելու նպատակ են հետապնդում: Նման գործողություններով նրանք նաև փորձում են ստուգել հայկական զինված ուժերի կարողությունները»,- շեշտեց ադրբեջանագետը:
Նա այն կարծիքին է, որ սահմանին առկա լարվածությունը լայնածավալ պատերազմի չի վերածվի: Նրա գնահատմամբ՝ այս պահին լայնածավալ ռազմական գործողությունները ձեռնտու չեն որևէ մեկի համար: «Այս ամենը չի կարող լայնածավալ պատերազմի վերածվել, քանի որ այստեղ կան նաև այլ երկրների շահեր: Ի վերջո, պատերազմը պահանջում է մեծ ռեսուրսներ, վտանգի տակ է դնում տարածաշրջանային ենթակառուցվածքները, ուստի, չեմ կարծում, որ այս պահին պատերազմը ձեռնտու է որևէ մեկի, հատկապես' Ալիևի վարչակազմի համար»,- ընդգծեց Ասատրյանը:
