Արագած Ախոյանը հանդես է եկել հայտարարությամբ «Բարգավաճ Հայաստան» կուսակցությանն անդամակցությանը դադարեցնելու մասին: Հայտարարության մեջ, մասնավորապես, ասված է.
«Հարգելի հայրենակիցներ, սիրելի ընտրողներ տեղեկացնում եմ ձեզ, որ այսօր ներկայացրել եմ դիմում՝ «Բարգավաճ Հայաստան» կուսակցությանն անդամակցությունս դադարեցնելու մասին: Հաշվի առնելով այն հանգամանքը, որ հանդիսանալով «Արևմտահայոց Ազգային Համագումար» միջազգային կազմակերպության ազգային խորհրդի հիմնադիր անդամ և լիազոր ներկայացուցիչը՝ ՀՀ-ում, վերջին երկու տարիների ընթացքում ես առավելապես զբաղվել եմ Արևմտահայկական խնդիրներով, համահայկական մշակութային ծրագրերով և իհարկե նաև իմ ընտրատարածքի զարգացման հիմնախնդիրներով:
Ներկա պահին անթույլատրելի եմ համարում մասնակցել նման ներքաղաքական լարման տանող գործընթացներին՝ հաշվի առնելով ՀՀ և ԼՂՀ սահմանների օրեցօր աճող ոչ ցանկալի իրավիճակը և Հայոց Ցեղասպանության 100-ամյակի կապակցությամբ կազմակերպվող համահայկական միջոցառումները, որտեղ ինքս ունեմ իմ պատասխանատվության բաժինը:
Ավելորդ չեմ համարում տեղեկացնել նաև, որ ԲՀԿ ղեկավար անձերի հետ առանձնազրույցների ժամանակ բազմիցս զգուշացրել եմ, որ, եթե կուսակցությունը որդեգրի այնպիսի քաղաքականություն, որը կտանի ներքաղաքական ակնհայտ առճակատումների և կստեղծի անհամատեղելիություն իմ հասարակական գործունեության հետ, որպես «Արևմտահայոց Ազգային Համագումար» կազմակերպության ազգային խորհրդի անդամ, ապա ստիպված եմ լինելու դադարեցնել իմ կուսակցական գործունեությունը: ՀՀ Ազգային Ժողովում կշարունակեմ աշխատանքներս որպես անկուսակցական պատգամավոր»:
