American Benjamin Miller, 20, (above) was hurt at the Carnaval del Toro festival in Ciudad Rodrigo, Spain

20-ամյա Բենջամին Միլլերը բնակվում է Ամերիկայի Ջորջիա նահանգում։ Վերջերս նա մեկնեց Իսպանիա իբրև զբոսաշրջիկ։ Երեկ նա ներկա էր Ռոդրիգո քաղաքում անցկացվող Ցլերի փառատոնին։ Տղան դեռ երկար կհիշի այս փառատոնը, սակայն, ավաղ, դրանք քաղցր ճանապարհորդական հուշեր չեն լինի։ Փառատոնի ընթացքում մի ցուլ հարձակվեց Բենջամինի վրա և այնքան դաժան հարվածներ տեղաց նրա վրա, որ տղան հազիվ փրկվեց մահից։ Ներկայումս նա գտնվում է Իսպանիայի հիվանդանոցներից մեկի վերակենդանացման բաժնում։ Ազդրերի, սեղմամկանի (сфинктер) ու թիկունքի շրջանում ստացած վնասվածքները բուժելու համար տղային երեք ժամ վիրահատել են։

Վիրաբույժ Էնրիկե Կրեսպոն ասում է, որ իր ողջ բժշկական գործունեության ընթացքում առաջին անգամ է այդպիսի խոր ու վտանգավոր վնասվածքներ տեսնում։ Վնասվածքներից մեկի խորությունը հասնում էր 40 սմ-ի։ Փառատոնի ընթացքում տուժել են նաև երկու այլ տղամարդ, որոնց ինքնությունը դեռևս պարզ չէ։ Փառատոնի կազմակերպիչները քաջ գիտակցում են, թե ինչ վտանգներով է հղի այն։

Հենց այդ պատճառով էլ նրանք բժշկական սարքավորումներով հագեցած ուղղաթիռ են պահում մոտակայքում, որպեսզի հարկ եղած դեպքում այն շտապ օգնության հասնի։ Այս ամենամյա փառատոնը մի քանի օր է տևում։ Եթե փառատոնի առաջին իսկ օրն արդեն երեք տուժող կա, պատկերացրեք, թե ինչ սոսկալի պատկեր կլինի փառատոնի վերջում։ Ճիշտ է, նմանատիպ փառատոնները շատ եկամտաբեր են։ Միայն այս տարի մոտ 45.000 մարդ է եկել փառատոնին, սակայն մի՞թե եկամուտ ստանալու համար կարելի է վտանգել մարդկանց կյանքը։ Այո, շատերը կարդարացնեն այս փառատոնի անցկացումը՝ նշելով, որ այն իսպանական մշակույթի մասն է կազմում, սակայն արդեն վաղուց ժամանակն է վերջ դնել մարդկանց կյանքին վտանգ սպառնացող մշակութային բաղկացուցիչներին։

Somewhere between 45,000 and 50,000 people were in the city for the event
