Հարավային հոսք գազատարի կառուցումից հրաժարվելը բացասական ազդեցություն կունենա ծրագրի մասնակից երկրների տնտեսության վրա. այսպիսին են հարցման արդյունքները, որոնք անցկացվել են ՙՍպուտնիկ. Կարծիքներ՚ ծրագրի շրջանակներում՝ ՙՌուսաստանն այսօր՚ զանգվածային լրատվական գործակալության ու բրիտանական հայտնի ICM Reseacrh հետազոտական ընկերության հետ համատեղ: Հարցումը կատարվել է 2015-ի հունվարի 12-30-ը Բուլղարիայում, Սերբիայում և Ավստրիայում: Հարցմանը մասնակցել է մոտ 3000 մարդ ՝ տարբեր սեռի, տարիքի ու աշխարհագրական դիրքով: Պատասխանելով այն հարցին, թե ինչպե՞ս է ազդում Հարավային հոսք գազատարի աշխատանքների դադարեցումը ձեր երկրում ընդհանուր տնտեսական իրավիճակի վրա, հարցվածների կեսից ավելին պատասխանել է, որ ծրագրից հրաժարվելը բացասաբար կանդրադառնա երկրի վրա: Ի դեպ, Բուլղարիայում ու Սերբիայում նման գնահատականի հետ համամիտ են հարցվածների ավելի քան երկու երրորդը՝ համապատասխանաբար 64 և 61 տոկոսը: Իսկ Ավստրիայում նման կարծիք ունի հարցվածների միայն 38 տոկոսը: Հարցվածների կեսն էլ համարում է, որ գազատարի աշխատանքների դադարեցումը ազդեցություն չի ունենա երկրի տնտեսության վրա:
«Sputnik-Արմենիա» ռադիոկայանին տված հարցազրույցում քաղաքագետ Սերգեյ Մինասյանն ասել է, որ շատ տրամաբանական է, որ Բուլղարիայի և Սերբիայի բնակիչների կեսից ավելին պատասխանել է, թե ծրագրից հրաժարվելը բացասաբար կանդրադառնա երկրի վրա: Չէ որ հարցումն անցկացվել է Եվրոպայի այն երկրներում, որոնց և՜ տնտեսական զարգացումները, և՜ քաղաքական-հասարակական կապերը Ռուսաստանի հետ բավականին ամուր են: Իսկ Ավստրիայի պարագայում դա այլ ձևով է ընկալվում, քանի որ այն տնտեսական առումով այս երկիրը շատ խոցելի հարաբերություններ ունի Ռուսաստանի հետ:
«Քաղաքական առումով Բուլղարիան հանդիսանում է Եվրամիության այն եզակի երկրներից, որոնք ունեն հատուկ հարաբերություններ Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության հետ: Եվ խոսքը ոչ միայն հասարակության մասին է: Հայտնի է, որ Բուլղարիայի կառավորությունը ցանկանում էր իրականացնել նախագիծը, սակայն, Բրյուսելի քաղաքականության կամ ազդեցության ներքո ստիպված հրաժարվել էր այդ դիրքորոշումից»,- նկատեց Սերգեյ Մինասյանը:
63 խորանարդ մետր հզորությամբ Հարավային հոսք գազատարը, որը պետք է տեղակայվեր Սև ծովի հատակում ՝ ՌԴ-ից մինչև Բուլղարիա, մատակարարելու էր կապույտ վառելիքը Եվրոպական տարբեր երկրներին: ԵՄ-ն դեմ էր հանդես գալիս գազատարի կառուցմանը, քանի որ նույն ընկերության երրորդ էներգափաթեթի համաձայն արգելվում է համատեղել գազի արտադրությունն ու փոխադրումը: Բրյուսելի ոչ կառուցողական դիրքորոշման պատճառով Մոսկվան 2014թ.-ի դեկտեմբերին հայտարարել է Հարավային հոսքի ծրագրից հրաժարվելու մասին: Փոխարենը որոշվել է Թուրքիայում՝ Հունաստանի հետ սահմանում, կառուցել գազային հանգույց՝ հարավ-եվրոպացի սպառողների համար:
