Ուկրաինական հակամարտության շուրջ ծավալվող զարգացումները լուրջ լարվածություն են առաջացնում տրանսատլանտյան դաշնության շրջանակներում. խնդիր, որը թաքցնելը օրըստօրե ավելի է բարդանում:
Մյունխենի անվտանգությանը նվիրված կոնֆերանսի ընթացքում, միջազգային դերակատարները փորձեցին ձեռնարկել տարբեր տեսակետների մերձեցման գործնթացը: ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Ջ. Քերրիի պնդմամբ՝ ԱՄՆ-ի ու Եվրոպայի մոտեցումները տարբեր են «մարտավարության», ոչ թե ռազմավարության մեջ: Կողմերը համակարծիք են, որ Ռուսաստանը պետք է հարգի Ուկրաինայի ինքնիշխանությունը և վերջինիս՝ Եվրոպական միության ընտանիքին անդամակցելու իրավունքը:
Առավել գործնական հարթակում, սակայն, ակնառու են համակարծության բացակայության որոշակի դրվագներ: Այսպես՝ Օբամայի վարչակազմը կողմ է արտահայտվել Ուկրաինա զենք մատակարարելուն, մինչդեռ Գերմանիան, որը ներկայումս Եվրոպական միության կարևորագույն ներկայացուցիչներից մեկն է, կտրականապես դեմ է նման քայլին:
Փաստենք, որ Ռուսաստանը ԱՄՆ-ի 23-րդ խոշորագույն առևտրային գործընկերն է՝ ապահովելով ԱՄՆ-ի ընդհանուր առևտրի 1%-ը: Մինչդեռ Ռուսաստանը Եվրոպական միության 3-րդ խոշորագույն գործընկերն է՝ ապահովելով ընդհանուր առևտրի 10%-ը: Եվրոպական մի շարք երկրներ կախված են ռուսական էներգակիրներից, ինչպես նաև վերջինիս աջակցությունից՝ բանկային, ֆինանսական և գյուղատնտեսական և այլ ոլորտներում ՝ ուստի պատժել Ռուսաստանին անուղղակիորեն նշանակում է պատժել նաև Եվրոպային:
Մասնավորապես՝ Եվրոպական մի շարք երկներ չեն ցանկանում խորացնել ՌԴ դեմ կիրառվող պատժամիջոցները, քանի որ կարծում են, որ անիմաստ է վնասել սեփական տնտեսությանը այն պարագայում, երբ վստահ չեն, որ Վ. Պուտինը կփոխի իր քաղաքականությունը:
Հաշվի առնելով մի կողմից ԱՄՆ-ի ու ԵՄ-ի մեջև առկա մարտավարական տարաձայնությունները, իսկ մյուս կողմից՝ ԵՄ շրջանակներում Ռուսատանի հանդեպ միասնական դիրքրորոշման ձևավորման խոչընդոտները, Time պարբերականը կատարում է հետևյալ հարցադրումը. դեպքերի նման դասավորվածության պարագայում ո՞վ կլինի հաղթողը:
Ըստ հոդվածագրի՝ դա Պուտինը չէ: Ի պատասխան Ռուսական ագրեսիայի՝Պուտինը ստացավ քայքայված Ուկրաինա, արևմուտքի հետ խարխափված հարաբերություններ և քայքայված տնտեսություն: Փոխարենը, այս իրավիճակում, շահեկան դուրս կգա Չինաստանը: Չինաստանը համակարծիք չէ արևմտյան դիրքորոշման հետ, որ Ռուսական ագրեսիային միջազգային հանրության խիստ պատասխանը առաջնային հարց է:
Քանի որ Ռուսաստանը թեքվում է դեպի արևելք, Չինաստանը Ռուսաստանի հետ առևտրատնտեսական հարաբերություններում կվարի առավել կոշտ բանակցություններ՝ միաժամանակ շարունակելով ընդլայնել հարաբերությունները Եվրոպայի ու ԱՄՆ-ի հետ: Երկու կողմերի հետ էլ հավասարակշիռ հարաբերություններ ունենալու Չինաստանի մարտավարությունը իրականում շատ ավելի արդյունավետ է:
