Ուկրաինայի արևելքում գրեթե 5,7 հազար մարդ է զոհվել, ևս ավելի քան 14 հազարը՝ վիրավորվել հակամարտության սկսվելուց ի վեր: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, փետրվարի 20-ին Ժնևում կայացած բրիֆինգի ժամանակ հայտնել է ՄԱԿ-ի մարդու իրավունքների գծով գերագույն կոմիսարի վարչության մամուլի քարտուղար Ռոպերտ Կոլվիլը:
«Անցյալ տարվա ապրիլին հակամարտության սկսվելուց ի վեր զոհվածների թիվը կազմել է 5 հազար 692, վիրավորվել է 14 հազար 122 մարդ: Սակայն մենք կարծում ենք, որ իրական թվերն զգալիորեն ավելի մեծ են»,-ասել է նա:
Կոլվիլի խոսքով՝ առայժմ դիտորդներին, մասնավորապես, չի հաջողվում հաշվել՝ քանի մարդ է զոհվել և քանիսն են վիրավորվել Դեբալցևոյի շրջանում հրադադարի ռեժիմի հայտարարումից հետո, քանի որ մուտքն այդ շրջան դժվարությունների հետ է կապված:
«Մենք խորապես ափսոսում ենք, որ մինչ այժմ ԵԱՀԿ-ի դիտորդներին հնարավորություն չի ընձեռվել այցելելու Դևբալցևո»,-հավելել է ՄԱԿ-ի մարդու իրավունքների գծով գերագույն կոմիսարի վարչության մամուլի քարտուղարը:
Ինչպես արդեն հաղորդվել է, ՄԱԿ-ի առաջին հումանիտար ավտոշարասյունը 62 տոննա օգնություն է հասցրել Դոնեցկ, որը ներառում է տաք իրեր, խմելաջուր, և դեղորայք: Ուկրաինայում ՄԱԿ-ի համակարգող Նիլ Ուոքերը հայտարարել է, որ մի քանի օրվա ընթացքում Կիևում կներկայացվի երկրին օգնություն ցուցաբերելու ծրագիրը: ՏԱՍՍ-ը հիշեցնում է, որ ավելի վաղ ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Ստեֆան Դյուժարիկը հայտնել է, որ ՄԱԿ-ի Պարենի համաշխարհային ծրագիրն ընդլայնում է հումանիտար գործողությունները Ուկրաինայի արևելքում և պլանավորում է առաջիկայում սննդամթերքով ապահովել շուրջ 190 հազար մարդու, հաղորդել է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
