«Օսկարի» 87-րդ կինոմրցանակի հանձնման նախօրյակին Thomson Reuters ընկերությունը կատարել Է այն գլխավոր հետազոտությունների ամփոփումը, որոնք վերջին 15 տարում կատարվել են մրցանակի թեմայով, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:
Գիտնականները շատ տասնամյակների ընթացքում հետեւել են «Օսկարի» անվանակարգորդների եւ հաղթողների ճակատագրերին, ինչն արժեքավոր նյութ Է տվել հոգեբանական, մշակութային եւ տնտեսական գործընթացների ըմբռնման համար: Ընդամենը Web of Science համակարգում եղել Է շուրջ 200 գործ, եւ 10 առավել մեջբերվողների մասին պատմվում Է Thomson Reuters-ի մամուլի տեղեկագրում, որն ստացվել Է «Լենտա.ռու»-ի խմբագրությունում:
Առավել հայտնի Է Դոնալդ Ռեդելմայերի եւ Շելդոն Սինգհի հոդվածը, որը 2001 թվականին հրապարկվել Է«Annals of Internal Medicineե հանդեսում: Այս գիտնականները պնդում Էին, որ «Օսկար» ստացած դերասանները եւ դերասանուհիները պարգեւից զուրկ մնացածներից ավելի երկար են ապրում՝ միջին հաշվով 3,9 տարով: Նրանք համեմատել են բոլոր անվանակարգորդներին (762 մարդու, այդ թվում՝ 235 դափնեկիրների) ստուգիչ խմբի՝ 887 դերասանների հետ, որոնք խաղացել են այդ նույն ֆիլմերում, բայց մրցանակի չեն առաջադրվել:
Սոցիալական հաջողությունը, որի ակնառու օրինակն «Օսկար» արձանիկն Է, անմիջական օգուտ Է բերում առողջությանը, հայտարարել են գիտնականները: Սակայն հինգ տարի հետո նույն հանդեսում լույս Է տեսել հերքում. սկզբնական հոդվածի հեղինակները թույլ են տվել մի շարք վիճակագրական սխալներ (ամենից առաջ կյանքի տեւողության հաշվարկում), եւ համարժեք վերահաշվարկն օսկարակիրների առավելությունը նվազեցրել Է ընդամենը մինչեւ մեկ տարվա՝ մի մեծության, որը գտնվում Է վիճակագրական սխալանքի սահմաններում:
Տնտեսագետները հավաստել են, ինչը միանգամայն կանխատեսելի Է, «Օսկար» ստացած ֆիլմերի դրամարկղային մուտքերի Էական աճը: Նույնքան հասկանալի Է եղել ակադեմիայի անդամների ընտրության հեղինակավորությունը. «Օսկարը» համեմատելով ԱՄՆ-ի վեց այլ, նվազ հեղինակավոր կինոմրցանակների հետ՝ Դին Քիտ Սիմոնթոնը՝ Կալիֆոռնիայի Դեւիսի համալսարանից, հայտնաբերել Է, որ բոլոր ժյուրիներին դուր են գալիս մոտավորապես միեւնույն կինոնկարները, եւ «Օսկարի» անվանակարգն առավել ստույգ երաշխավոր Է ծառայում այլ մրցանակների համար:
