Բոլոր ժամանակներում եղել են այնպիսի խելագար մարդիկ, որոնք իրենց մտավոր խնդիրներով անջնջելի հետք են թողել աշխարհի պատմության մեջ: Հենց այդ մտավոր խնդիրներով են նրանք զարմանալի հայտնագործություններ կատարել, մաթեմատիկական թեորեմներ ստեղծել, արվեստի գանձարանը հարստացրել անմահ գլուխգործոցներով: Այս ցանկում Orer.am-ը կներկայացնի աշխարհահռչակ 10 հանճարներին և նրանց մտավոր խնդիրներին:
1.Ֆրանսիայի Չարլզ 6-րդ թագավորը: Ֆրանսիայի Չարլզ 6-րդ թագավորը հայտնի էր նաև Չարլզ Խելագար անունով: Նա թագավորել է Ֆրանսիայում 1380-1422թթ.: Գահակալությունից 12 տարի անց սկսվեցին նրա խելագարության նոպաները: Չարլզ 6-րդի մոտ լինում էին պահեր, երբ մոռանում էր իր անունը և նույնիսկ այն փաստը, որ թագավոր է: Երբեմն չէր ճանաչում հարազատ կնոջը և երեխաներին: 1405թ. շուրջ 5 ամիս նա հրաժարվում էր լոգանք ընդունելուց կամ հագուստները փոխելուց: Պյուս 2-րդ Պապի գրություններից իմանում ենք այն, որ Չարլզ 6-րդը կարծում էր, թե ինքը «պատրաստված» է ապակուց, և հրաժարվում էր զրահազգեստ կրել' վախենալով կոտրվելուց:
2. Աբրահամ Լինկոլն: Աբրահամ Լինկոլնը ԱՄՆ 16-րդ նախագահն էր: Նա տառապում էր մելանքոլիայով: Եթե մարդիկ ժամանակ առ ժամանակ տխրում են, ապա Լինկոլնի մոտ նկատվում էր մշտական ճնշող, տկարացնող դեպրեսիա: Որոշ կենսագիրներ պնդում են, որ նա բազմիցս մտածել է ինքնասպանության մասին: «Ability» թերթում Լինկոլնի վերաբերյալ հոդվածը նշում էր, որ նա կարող էր անկառավարելի կերպով լաց լինել հուսահատությունից և օգտագործել հումորը հավասարակշռելու իր տխրությունը: Նա նաև կառչում էր աշխատանքից, ճակատագրական և կրոնական հայացքներից, որպեսզի հաղթահարեր մելանքոլիան:
3. Վինսենթ Վան Գոգ: Նա էպիլեպսիկ ցնցումներ է ունեցել ուղեղի խանգարումից, որի պատճառը բավականին թունդ ալկոհոլիկ խմիչքի' աբսինթեյի օգտագործումն էր: Նրա մեծ կիրքը նկարչության և կրոնի նկատմամբ ուղեկցվում էր խոր դեպրեսիայի շրջաններով, քանի որ նա տառապում էր բիպոլորյան խանգարմամբ: Վինսենտ Վան Գոգը նաև խանդավառ գրող էր. նա հարյուրավոր նամակներ է գրել: Ոմանք կարծում են, որ նա ուներ նաև հիպերգրաֆիա՝ մի հիվանդություն, որն արտահայտվում էր գրելու անզուսպ ցանկությամբ:
4. Էռնեստ Հեմինգուեյ: Պուլիտցերի և Նոբելյան մրցանակակիր Էռնեստ Հեմինգուեյը դեպրեսիայի և ալկոհոլիզմի զոհն էր: Ինչպես Վան Գոգը, այնպես էլ նա ինքնասպան է լինում: Հեմինգուեյի հայրը, եղբայրը, քույրը և տատիկը նույնպես նույն ճակատագրին էին արժանացել: Եթե ինքնասպանության նկատմամբ հակումն ամփոփված էր նրա ԴՆԿ-ի մեջ, ապա մտավոր առողջությունը խաթարվել էր ալկոհոլիզմի չարաշահումից: Նրան երկար ժամանակ հոսպիտալիզացնում են, ենթարկում շոկային թերապայի, որն էլ պատճառ է դառնում հիշողության կորստի և դեպրեսիայի ուժգնացմանը:
5. Թենեսի Ուիլյամս: Պուլիտցերի մրցանակակիր, հայտնի դրամատուրգ Թենեսի Ուիլյամսը, ով գրել է «Ցանկության տրամվայը», «Շիկացած տանիքի կատուն», «Ապակե գազանանոցը», տառապում էր դեպրեսիայով: Ճակատագրական երկու դեպքերը նրա դեպրեսիան ավելի խորացրեցին' զարգացնելով թմրադեղերի և ալկոհոլի նկատմամբ կախվածությունը: Ուիլյամսը ծնվել էր մի ընտանիքում, որի անդամները լուրջ մտավոր խնդիրներ ունեին: 1940-ականների կեսերին նրա քույրը, ով տառապում էր շիզոֆրենիայով, լոբոտոմիայի է ենթարկվում: 1961թ. երկար տարիների նրա սիրեցյալը մահանում է: Այս երկու դժբախտ իրադարձությունները վերջնականապես ջախջախում են Ուիլյամսին, և նա ընկնում է խոր դեպրեսիայի մեջ ու դառնում թմրամոլ: Չնայած դետոքսիֆիկացիայի դիմելուն' կյանքի մնացած տարիներին Ուիլյամսը շարունակում է տառապել դեպրեսիայից և թմրադեղերի կախվածությունից:
