«Ես այն կարծիքին եմ, որ Թուրքիան վերջապես պետք է ողջամիտ վերաբերմունք դրսեւորի եւ վերացնի Հայաստանի շրջափակումը, իսկ տարածաշրջանի հետ ամենահարմար կապը պետք է լինի Գյումրի-Կարս երկաթուղու վերագործարկումը»,- այս մասին Orer.am-ի հետ զրույցում նշեց ԱԺ ՀՀԿ խմբակցության պատգամավոր Տաճատ Վարդապետյանը:
Անդրադառնալով, այսպես կոչված, Գալիպոլիի ճակատամարտին եւ Թուրքիայի կողմից իրականացվող ներկայիս քաղաքականությանը՝ պատգամավորը նկատեց. «Այն, որ շատ պետությունների նախագահներ պարզապես հրաժարվել են ապրլի 24-ին ներկա գտնվել Թուրքիայում, ես դա բնական եմ համարում: Թուրքիան՝ որպես համաշխարհային մշակույթի կրող, սնանկ տարածք է: Նրանք աշխարհում հայտնի են պատմական իրականությունը նենգափոխելու առումով, իրենք պատմություն մոգոնողներ են: Նկատենք, որ շատ քիչ երկրների ղեկավարներ են համաձայնվել Հայոց ցեղասպանության օրը գտնվել Թուրքիայում, նրանք այդ օրը կլինեն Հայաստանում:
Թուրքիան մեր թիվ մեկ հակառակորդներից է, որը պետք է վերանայի իր պատմությունն ու առերեսվի իրական պատմության հետ, հատկապես այս օրերին: Պետք չէ Ցեղասպանության 100-ամյա տարելիցը մեկ այլ շինծու իրադարձությամբ ստվերել: Թուրքիան պետք է ճանաչի Հայոց ցեղասպանության փաստը եւ դրանից ելնելով՝ համապատասխան քայլեր կատարի թե՛ դատապարտման, թե՛ փոխհատուցման գծով:
Մեր այն հարցադրմանը, թե արդյո՞ք 100 տարի անց Ցեղասպանության հարցը կարող է համարվել սառած, Տ. Վարդապետյանը պատասխանեց. «Չեմ կարծում, ընդհակառակը, ես գտնում եմ, որ Ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցը նոր մեկնարկ պետք է հաղորդի բոլոր այն երկրներին, որոնք դեռ չեն ուսումնասիրել եւ իրենց գնահատականը չեն հնչեցրել խնդրի հետ կապված»:
Անդրադառնալով նաեւ այն հանգամանքին, որ Թուրքիայում բնկավող մի շարք հայազգի ներկայացուցիչներ հանդիպումներ են ունենում Թուրքիայի բարձրաստիճան այրերի հետ, որի ժամանակ էլ թուրքական իշխանությունը փորձում է ժողովրդավար ու եղբայրական դիրքերից հանդես գալ հայերի նկատմամբ՝ Վարդապետյանը գտնում է. «Դա կեղծավորության ակնհայտ դրսեւորում է, ես պարզապես կոչ եմ անում մեր հայրենակիցներին, որ երբեք կուլ չտան այդ խայծը եւ իրենց ազգային հստակ դիրքորոշումը պահպանեն ամենուրեք»:
