ԱՄՆ-ի նախկին պետքարտուղար և նախկին առաջին տիկին Հիլարի Քլինթոնը ապրիլին կհայտարարի, որ մասնակցլու Է 2016 թվականի նոյեմբերին նշանակված նախագահական ընտրություններին: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, իր Էլեկտրոնային տարբերակում հայտնել Է The Wall Street Journal թերթը:
«Հիլարի Քլինթոնը և նրա խորհրդականները Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության հովանավորներին ծանուցել են, որ նա նախագահական մրցավազքը կսկսի ավելի շուտ, քան սպասվում Էր. հավանբար, արդեն ապրիլին: Դրա շնորհիվ նա կկարողանա արդեն մոտ ժամանակներս ձեռնամուխ լինել իր նախընտրական հիմնադրամում միջոցների հանգանակմանը»,-գրում Է հրատարակությունը:
Ինչպես նշում Է թերթը, նախագահական ընտրարշավն անցկացնելու համար Քլինթոնը հույս ունի հավաքել ավելի քան 1 մլրդ դոլար: «Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության հովանվորներից ոմանք զգուշանում են, որ եթե Քլինթոնը նախընտրական պայքար պաշտոնական մուտքը հետաձգի մինչև ամառ, նրա համար դժվար կլինի հավաքել անհրաժեշտ գումարը»,-նշում Է The Wall Street Journal-ը:
2012 թվականի նախագահական ընտրարշավի ընթացքում Սպիտակ տան ներկայիս ղեկավար Բարաք Օբաման ներգրավել Էր 716 մլն դոլար:
67-ամյա Քլինթոնը, որը 2008 թվականին Օբամայի հետ պայքարել Էր Սպիտակ տան համար, համարվում Է նախագահական հաջորդ ընտրություններում Դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունից առավել հավանական թեկնածուներից մեկը:
Ինչպես նշում Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը, Դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունից որպես թեկնածու առաջադրվելու վատ շանսեր չունի նաև ԱՄՆ-ի փոխնախագահ Ջոզեֆ Բայդենը: Նա նույնպես առայժմ պաշտոնապես չի հայտարարել նախագահական մրցավազքին մասնակցելու իր որոշման մասին: Սակայն, հասարակական կարծիքի հարցումների տվյալներով՝ Բայդենը ժողովրդականությամբ զգալիորեն զիջում Է Հիլարի Քլինթոնին:
