В цехах заводов «Туполева» - крупнейшего российского авиапроизводителя – и сегодня выпускают самолеты из дерева.

Заводы, которые выпускают самолёты «Туполева» сегодня работают в Ульяновске и в Казани. Сегодня на них работают 9 000 и 4500 человек соответственно. В год на одном заводе производится около 50 самолётов. Для сравнения: американская компании Boeing выпускает 500 самолётов в год благодаря распределению производства. Отдельные части самолётов производят в Италии и Японии, а в США проходит только окончательная сборка.

Самое поразительное, что можно увидеть в цехах заводов «Туполева» - деревянные самолёты. Их корпуса сделаны из самого настоящего дерева.

Внутри же деревянный самолёт ничем не отличается от реальных воздушных судов.

Так в чём же причина того, что на заводе выпускают деревянные самолёты?

После того, как все чертежи готовы, на заводе воссоздают самолёт в реальную величину из дерева. Даже некоторые части двигателя выполняют из дерева.

На заводе считают, что только такой макет позволяет понять, чего в самолёте не хватает, и что в нём недостаточно удобно, и оперативно внести изменения в конструкцию самолёта.

Это может показаться фантастикой, но этот Ту-324 полностью изготовлен из дерева.
