Փետրվարին քաղաքագետ Էլման Ռուստամովը պարբերականի հետ զրույցում նշել էր, որ «Ադրբեջանում արժեզրկումը, աշխատատեղերի կրճատումը, նավթի գների անկումը կարելի է բնութագրել մեկ բառով. ամեն ինչ այստեղ եռում է»:
Նույն շաբաթ Ադրբեջանի կենտրոնական բանակի կառավարիչը վերջ դրեց դոլար- մանաթ փոխկապվածությանը: Մեկ շաբաթ հետո, անհաջող փորձ կատարվեց արժույթի աստիճանական թուլացման կառավարման հարցում. Կենտրոնական բանկը ապշեցրեց Ադրբեջանի բնակչությանը` հայտարարելով, որ մանաթը դոլարի նկատմամբ 34 տոկոս արժեզրկվել է:
Ադրբեջանի պատգամավոր Վահիդ Ահմադովը, ով նաև խորհրդանի տնտեսական քաղաքականաության հանձնաժողովի անդամ է, պարզաբանել է, որ Կենտրոնական բանկը խաբել է բոլորին`պատգամավորներին և Ադրբեջանի ողջ ժողովրդին:
Նավթի գների ավելի քան 50 տոկոս անկումը նաև իր ազդեցություն է ունեցել հարևան պետությունների` ռուսասական ռուբլու, վրացական լարիի և թուրքական լիրայի արժեզրկման վրա:
Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Ալիևը հունվարին խորհրդարանում հայտարարել էր, որ մանաթի կայունությունը ցույց է տալիս իրենց տնտեսական քաղաքականության հաջողությունը:
մինչ Moody’s վարկանիշային գործակալությունը զգուշացրել էր, որ այդ քայլով կարող է ճնշում գործադրվել բանկերի ակտիվների որակի վրա, Ադրբեջանի շփոթված ժողովուրդը ժամերով կանգնել էր փոխանակման կետերում մանաթը դոլարի վերածելու համար:
Ըստ տնտեսագետ Գուբադ Իբադողլուի, եթե նավթի գները մեկ բարելի դիմաց հասնեն $50, վճարային հաշվեկշռի ավելցուկը կարող է լինել հինգ անգամ ավելի քիչ, քան անցյալ տարի: Ավելին, նավթի նման գնի դեպքում, պետական նավթային հիմադրամի` Sofaz-ի եկամուտները, անցայլ տարվա համեմատ, կընկնեն $16.3միլիարդից $4.7 միլիարդի-ի:
Եկամուտների անկումն էլ իր հերթին խնդիրներ կառաջացնի կառավարության համար, որի 2015թ բյուջեում նավթի մեկ բարելի դիմաց սահմանված է $90:
Իբադողլուն նշել է, որ նավթի եկամուտների անկումը հանգեցրել է նրան, որ պետական ընկերությունները կրճատել են աշխատատեղերը:
«Օր օրի տնտեսական և սոցիալական վիճակը վատթարանում է: Կառավարությունն այլընտրանք չունի` միայն արժեզրկում»,-ամփոփել է վերջինս:
