Հայոց ցեղասպանության հարցում Թուրքիայի դիրքորոշման փոփոխությունը հնարավոր է միայն Եվրոպայի ճնշման ներքո: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում նշեց իտալական L’Espresso պարբերականի արտաքին լրագրության բաժնի գլխավոր խմբագիր, լրագրող Ջիաննի Պերելլին, ով չնայած մասնագիտական շուրջ 50 տարվա գործունեությանը և այդ ընթացքում 150 երկրի կատարած այցելությունների առաջին անգամ է ժամանել Հայաստան:
Խոսելով այցի նպատակների մասին՝ Պերելլին նշեց, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին ընդառաջ Երևան գալը պատահական չէ: «Հայերի հետ կատարված ողբերգությունն Արևմտյան երկրների մեծ մասում մոռացվել է: Իհարկե, կան մտավորականներ, գործիչներ, ովքեր հիշում են, թե ինչ է կատարվել, սակայն իրազեկության մակարդակի տարբերությունը, համեմատած հրեաների Հոլոքոստի հետ, ահռելի է»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում նշեց իտալացի լրագրողը' փաստելով, որ լրատվականները ևս այս հարցում ունեն իրենց դերակատարությունը, քանի որ ավելի շատ լուսաբանում են Հոլոքոստը, քան Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը:
«Մենք գիտենք, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանությունն Ադոլֆ Հիտլերի համար ծառայել է որպես մոդել Հոլոքոստն իրականացնելու համար, սակայն շատերը դա այսօր մոռացել են: Հայաստանը փոքր երկիր է, հայերն աշխարհում ուժեղ լոբբիի կարիք ունեն»,- ասաց Պերելլին, ում հայաստանյան այցելության ամենաառանցքային նպատակներից մեկն էլ Հայոց ցեղասպանության ականատես-վերապրածների հետ հանդիպումներն են և դրանց հիման վրա հոդված պատրաստելը:
Իտալացի փորձառու լրագրողը հայտնեց, որ հայկական հարցի ու Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին տեղեկացել է կարդացած շատ գրքերից, ինչպես նաև անձնական շփումների միջոցով: «Ավելի վաղ ևս տեղյակ էի խնդրի մասին, սակայն վերջերս սկսեցի շատ ավելի խորացված զբաղվել խնդրի ուսումնասիրությամբ»,- նշեց նա՝ կարծիք հայտնելով, որ ապրիլի 24-ին ընդառաջ աշխարհում հետաքրքրությունը Ցեղասպանության նկատմամբ կմեծանա, սակայն դրան հաջորդող օրերի ընթացքում կրկին կնվազի:
Պատասխանելով այն հարցին, թե ինչ քայլերի կարող ենք սպասել Թուրքիայից ապագայում՝ Պերելլին նշեց, որ հավանական չի համարում առաջիկա տարիների ընթացքում թուրքական պետության դիրքորոշման փոփոխություն: «Էրդողանը բռնապետ է, և ես չեմ կարծում, որ նա առաջիկա 5 տարիներին կարող է փոխել քաղաքականությունն այս հարցում: Բայց, այդուհանդերձ, հավատում եմ, որ հնարավորություն կա: Թուրքիան երկու աշխարհների՝ Ասիայի և Եվրոպայի միջև է: Թուրքիայում ցանկանում են լինել եվրոպական, և, ըստ իս, հենց Եվրոպան կարող է դրդել Թուրքիային փոխել իր վերաբերմունքը Հայոց ցեղաս պանության հարցում: Կարծում եմ, որ Հայաստանի համար իրական հնարավորությունը Եվրոպան է»,- ասաց նա:
Խոսելով թուրքական հասարակության ներսից անհրաժեշտ փոփոխությունների ազդակների կարևորության մասին ՝ Պերելլին չբացառեց դա՝ շեշտելով, սակայն, որ թուրքական գործող վարչակազմի պայմաններում այդ ամենը քիչ հավանական է: «Տիրող բռնապետական կարգի պայմաններում թուրք այն մտավորականները, ովքեր փորձում են պետական շեշտադրումներին հակասող հայտարարություններ անել, կարող են հեշտությամբ հայտնվել բանտում: Ռեժիմի պայմաններում նրանց համար շատ դժվար է խոսել և ազդել հասարակության վրա, քանի որ նրանք մեծ փոքրամասնություն են»,- ընդգծեց իտալացի լրագրողը:
Հարցազրույցի վերջում Պրանդելլին անկեղծացավ, որ իր առաջին իսկ այցելությունից հավանել է Հայաստանն ու Երևանը: «Հետաքրքիր երկիր է: Քաղաքի կենտրոնը շատ ժամանակակից է, լի ռեստորաններով, բարերով և առհասարակ կյանքով, սակայն ծայրամասերում դեռևս պահպանվում է խորհրդային մթնոլորտը: Ծայրամասերում անցյալն է, իսկ կենտրոնում՝ ապագան»,- համոզմունք հայտնեց նա:
