«Եվրանեսթ» խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովի չորրորդ նստաշրջանի շրջանակներում մի շարք կարեւոր հարցերից բացի, ԱԺ ՀՀԿ խմբակցության պատգամավոր Կարինե Աճեմյանի կողմից բարձրաձայնվել  եւ եվրոպացի գործընկերների ուշադրությանն է ներկայացվել ոչ պակաս կարեւոր մի խնդիր. այն է` մշակութային վանդալիզմի թեման, որն, ինչ խոսք, առաջին հերթին վերաբերում է Հայաստանին հարեւան, բայց ոչ երբեւէ բարեկամ երկու երկրներին` Թուրքիային եւ Ադրբեջանին:

Orer.am-ի հետ զրույցում Կ. Աճեմյանը նշեց.  «Եվրանեսթի» շրջանակներում մշակույթի, կրթության եւ սոցիալական հարցերի հանձնաժողովում ընդունվեց բանաձեւ, որտեղ տարբեր առաջադեմ դրույթների հետ մեկտեղ կար նաեւ մշակութային երկխոսության մասին դրույթ: Իմ ելույթում ես նշեցի, որ մենք միշտ բաց ենք եղել բոլոր երկրների հետ մշակութային երկխոսության համար, այդ թվում` Ադրբեջանի եւ Թուրքիայի, սակայն այդ երկխոսությունը մշտապես մերժվել է տվյալ պետությունների կողմից: Պետք է նշեմ, որ մենք շահագրգիռ ենք, որպեսզի մեր հուշակոթողները, որոնք կան ե'ւ Ադրբեջանում, ե'ւ Թուրքիայում, վտանգված չլինեն: Հայկական կողմն անհանգստանում է Ադրբեջանում եւ Թուրքիայում գտնվող պատմամշակութային կոթողների պահպանման  համար»: 

Անդրադառնալով Թուրքիայի եւ Ադրբեջանի մշակութային ոլորտում վարած քաղաքականությանը` պատգամավորը, որպես օրինակ, նշեց Նոր Ջուղայի դեպքերը եւ մշակութային վանդալիզմի հանդեպ քաղաքակիրթ երկրների արձագանքը. «Նոր Ջուղայի դեպքերից հետո, երբ ամբողջ աշխարհը տեսավ, թե ինչպես բոլորի աչքի առաջ պարզապես ոչնչացվեցին հայկական խաչքարերը, մի շարք երկրների կողմից հնչեցին միայն դատապարտող հայտարարություններ: Մենք գիտենք` այն ինչ մնում է անպատիժ, հետագայում կրկնվում է: Տեսնում ենք, թե Իրաքում, Սիրիայում եւ մի շարք այլ երկրներում ինչպիսի մշակութային վանդալիզմ է իրականացվում, իսկ որպեսզի այդ վանդալիզմը չկրկնվի, ապա բոլոր ժողովուրդները, պառլամենտի պատգամավորները, պատասխանատուները պետք է կարողանան այս հարցում իրար աջակցել: Ես կոչ արեցի իմ եվրոպացի գործընկերներին, որպեսզի այս հարցում նրանք լինեն առավել օբյեկտիվ, քանի որ դրանով նրանք կսատարեն ոչ միայն Հայաստանին, այլ ամբողջ միջազգային հանրությանը եւ բոլոր այն երկրներին, որոնց սպառնում է մշակութային կոթողների ոչնչացում»:

Նկատենք, որ ՀՀԿ խմբակցության պատգամավորի կոչը եվրոպացի որոշ գործընկերների կողմից ստացել է սառը արձագանք, որն այս պարագայում սպասելի էր. «Այն երկրները, որոնք ջերմ հարաբերություններ ունեն Թուրքիայի եւ Ադրբեջանի հետ, իհարկե, սառը արձագանքեցին, բայց կային եվրոպացի գործընկերներ, որոնք ասացին, որ, այո', մենք բոլորս պետք է պայքարենք պատմամշակութային կոթողների պահպանման համար: Համաձայնվելով հայտարարությանս հետ` նրանք նաեւ նշեցին, որ 21-րդ դարում, երբ խոսում ենք քաղաքակրթությունից ոչ ոք իրավունք չունի աչք փակել մշակութային վանդալիզմի վրա»:
