Մեկնարկում է Հայոց ցեղասպանության իրազեկմանը նվիրված System of a Down խմբի համաշխարհային շրջագայությունը: Ինչպես հաղորդում է Los Angeles Daily News   պարբերականը, «Արթնացեք հոգիներ» (Wake Up the Souls) խորագրով շրջագայությունը կմեկնարկի ապրիլի 6-ին Կալիֆորնիայում կայանալիք համերգով և կներառի համերգներ աշխարհի 14 բեմերում` ներառյալ Եվրոպան, Հարավային և Հյուսիսային Ամերիկաները, ինչպես նաև ապրիլի 23-ին` Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի նախորդ օրը, առաջին անգամ ելույթով Երևանում:

Ինչպես նշում է պարբերականը, այս համերգաշարը մեծ նվեր է խմբի երկրպագուների համար 2005թ. SOAD-ի վերջին ալբոմի լույս ընծայումից ի վեր: Սակայն այն նվիրված է լինելու համաշխարհային հանրությանը Հայոց ցեղասպանության վրա ուշադրություն հրավիրելուն:«Մեզ համար` որպես ամերիկահայերի, որոնց ընտանիքները անմիջական կապ ունեն այս խնդրի հետ, կարևոր է ոչ միայն իրազեկել մարդկանց, այլ նաև պահանջել արդարության վերականգնումը: Սա ցավ է, որը շարունակում է առկա մնալ», - ասել է խմբի մեներգիչ Սերժ Թանկյանը:

Թանկյանը և խմբի թմբկահար Ջոն Դոլմայանը, ում ընտանիքի անդամները Հայոց ցեղասպանության ականատեսներ են, կայանալիք շրջագայությանը նվիրված ասուլիսի ժամանակ ամերիկյան լրագրողներին հայտնել են նաև, որ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Բարաք Օբամայի աշխատակազմը և Թուրքիայի կառավարությունը վերջապես կընդունեն Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը:«Մենք ցանկանում ենք շրջագայությունից հետո կրկին հավաքվել և խոսել նոր երգեր գրելու վերաբերյալ: Սակայն, ով գիտի, չի բացառվում, որ դեպքերն այնպես ընթանան, որ այդ շրջագայությունը ներշնչի մեզ նոր երգեր ստեղծելու», - ասուլիսի ժամանակ ասել է խմբի թմբկահար Ջոն Դոլմայանը՝ պատասխանելով Billboard պարբերականի հարցին, թե երբ կարելի է ակնկալել խմբի նոր ստեղծագործությունների լույսընծայումը:Հանդիպման ընթացքում Սերժ Թանկյանը նշել է, որ ցանկանում էին նաև շրջագայության մեջ ներառել Թուրքիան, որտեղ իրենք երբեք դեռ ելույթ չէին ունեցել, սակայն իրենց մերժել են:

«Համերգաշարի մեկնարկի օրերի մոտենալով՝ ես օրեցօր ավելի ու ավելի եմ ոգեշնչվում և անհամբեր սպասում դրան: Այդ զգացումը առաջանում է յուրաքանչյուր շրջագայության մեկնարկից առաջ, սակայն այս դեպքում այն յուրահատուկ է, քանի որ դրա գագաթնակետը հանդիսանում է Հայաստանում մեր կայանալիք համերգը: Այն առանձնահատուկ արժեք ունի ինձ համար` որպես հայի և երաժշտի: Այն ավելի կարևոր է խմբի համար, քան նոր ձայներիզի ստեղծումը», - Billboard  պարբերականի փոխանցմամբ ասել է Ջոն Դոլմայանը:
