Lavrov and Kerry call for stopping military actions in Karabakh
Международные новостиRussian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry have discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh by phone, the Russian MFA reports.
“The heads of the foreign ministries expressed serous concern about the escalation in Nagorno-Karabakh, confirming the urgent call to immediately stop the military actions. It has been agreed to activate the efforts of Russia, U.S., and France as Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group towards contributing to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Lavrov and Kerry condemned the efforts of separate “external players” to whip up the confrontation round Karabakh,” the MFA statement reads.
The conversation took place upon the initiative of the American side.
