President spokesman: Ceasefire is very similar to Karabakh talks
STEPANAKERT. - The agreement on ceasefire on the Nagorno-Karabakh Line of Contact was adopted at the level of Armenian and Azerbaijani Defense Ministers, but Karabakh is also one of the sides implementing this agreement and thus it also takes part in the process to a certain extent.
Spokesperson for Nagorno-Karabakh President, Davit Babayan, told the aforementioned to journalists Wednesday.
“It’s very similar to the negotiation process on Nagorno-Karabakh. We have a distorted format: in the beginning we had three parties – Karabakh, Azerbaijan and Armenia –Armenia being an involved party. “Thanks to” the policy of Azerbaijan, Artsakh has somehow appeared outside the negotiations. Nevertheless, it takes part in these talks to a certain extent: the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs come here and we meet with them. This is also the case now. If we take the formal, legal part, yes, the agreement has been achieved between the ministers of two countries, but we are one of the sides implementing that agreement, one of the sides to that agreement,” he said.
