Եվրասիական տնտեսական հանձնաժողովի կոլեգիայի նախագահ Տիգրան Սարգսյանը, խոսելով ԵԱՏՄ շրջանակներում աշխարհաքաղաքական համատեքստում Հայաստանի հեռանկարների մասին, նշել է, որ աշխարհագրական դիրքը, նույնիսկ հաշվի առնելով մյուս անդամ երկրների հետ սահմանի բացակայությունը, Հայաստանին յուրահատուկ տնտեսական առավելություն է տալիս:

«Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության կազմում Հայաստանի հարաբերական առավելությունն այն է, որ այն միության միակ երկիրն է, որը սահմանակցում է Իրանին: Պատահական չէ, որ Իրանի հետ բանակցային գործընթացում մենք կուրատոր ենք նշանակել Հայաստանին՝ որպես կազմակերպության առավել հետաքրքրված երկրի: Այն ամենաշահագրգիռն է, քանի որ կարող է ճիշտ կառուցել առևտրային տնտեսական փոխհարաբերությունները և Իրանի համար դարպաս դառնալ դեպի ԵԱՏՄ», - Rusarminfo-ին հայտնել է Սարգսյանը:

Նրա կարծիքով՝ Հայաստանը պետք է օգտվի իր առավելություններից՝ համապատասխան ենթակառուցվածքներ ստեղծելով Իրանի հետ տնտեսական համագործակցության ողջ ներուժն իրականացնելու համար: Նման քայլերից մեկը, ինչպես ընդգծել է Տիգրան Սարգսյանը, Իրանի հետ սահմանին ազատ առևտրի գոտու ստեղծման նախաձեռնությունն է ՀՀ կառավարության կողմից, ինչը հետագայում հնարավորություն կընձեռի Իրանից ապրանքներ ներկրել եվրասիական տարածք, ինչպես նաև ԵԱՏՄ արտադրանքն արտահանել Իրան:
